Broussard is a fucking liar. That's clearly not an in-game screenshot, it's a picture of an action figure.

lilldavid, and besides, many game developer companies have sculptures, dolls, and figurines of characters from their games sitting on their desks. Doesn't mean they have to be on sale for them to exist.
DNF is an interesting novelty because of discussions evolving around myths, lies, and deceits. It's almost like those Lost-mongers who discuss its mysteries on the web.

I didn't make that image, but even without those arrows and shit on the image you clearly see it isn't a renderer or in-game screenshot when you blow it up.
Besides, you gotta think about it, would the first new screenshot of Duke be a 200x125 questionable thumbnail with www.3drealms.com printed on it?

Nope it wouldn't, you are very right on that point indeed.
And yes a screenshot it isn't, you can see that clearly as u said.
But a render isn't really a screenshot either(well sort of) but i agree now it is an figurine,
forgot that game developers have sculptures or figurines for their projects and mascots.

How do they, those who checked the pic, know that those are monitors and those are chairs? Cause the thing by one of the monitors looks like a pipe to me. Doesn't look like a safe office enviroment.
Anyway. We'll know if it's real soon enough.

Honestly, does it look like he is standing in a "random hallway"?
You gotta be stupid to believe the shit Broussard is tossing at the blind fanboys.

I guess I'll reconfirm what I said last night. That's an in game, real-time shot of Duke standing in a random hallway. It was really done as a small teaser for a job ad on Gamasutra.com. Nothing more.
I'm glad some of you enjoyed it, and we'll show more later as we start to wake from our slumber and decide how best to show the game off. |
I read that. I'm just commenting on the stuff Parallax_ posted.

Yeah, but those don't look like monitors or backs of chairs. Y'know. Heck, it could be a hall way. Some fancy shmancy, stupendous hallway. Y'know. It’s video game where pigs are cops and monsters that like to look at strippers. You don’t expect realism from a game like that.

What amazes me about DNF is that someone, with pockets full of cash, keeps pouring money into this big black hole. Why the hell don't the financiers pull the plug already?
Or what the hell's financing this thing, land scams or spam?

nearly all the money comes from 3drealms themselves, so as far as i m concerned they can take as much time as they want to, as long as the game is good, when it is done.

i remember seeing a preview article about 5-6 years ago in a magazine that was swamped with in game screenshots and graphics, i can even remember the content of those screenshots, outdoor enviroments reminiscent of western style saloons and huge arse red rocks. Therefore it MUST have been in development at some point.
TBH i couldnt give 2 shits whether it comes out or not.

I bet the people saying they don't care about this game are the first ones to buy/download it as soon as it is released...
