Hello,
I have this file called fg.exe in my temp folder that I can not delete at all and it has drastically slowed down my computer. I boot into safe mode and I can not delete this file. It says access denied and to check that the disk is not write protected. While still in safe mode, I shut down explorer and tried to force delete the file from DOS but no luck. I ran Spybot, Windows Defender, and Mcafee but they did not detect anything.
I am able to move the file in a different directory but not to another partiton. When I move the file, the PC functions normally without the slow down. However when I reboot the PC, I get an error message at startup saying that Windows can not find the fg.exe file in the temp directory. I created a new account and I get the same error message.
I looked on the web and it seems like that the fg.exe file part of the csrss.exe process but did not find solution on how to resolve this. Did anyone else run into a similar problem? Please help.

Ok. I just instlled the utility and tried it. It still could not delete the file but it gave the option to try and delete it on the next boot up. So now the file has been deleted on boot up but now I still get the error message that Winodws can not find the file. How can I get rid of that?

In case you’re paranoid like me here is “safest” way to delete those pesky files. I say safest because you are trusting a total stranger by using sofware you’ve never heard of. That being said, I tried Unlocker and it didn’t work, forcing me to find out how to do it another way.
Step 1: Turn off Simple File Sharing
Open “My Computer”
Tools -> Folder Options…
Goto “View” tab
Goto the last checkbox in the “Advanced settings”
Uncheck “Use simple file sharing (Recommended)”
Step 2: Find the file you can’t delete in Windows Explorer
Right-click on that file or folder
Select “Properties”
Goto the “Security” tab
Click the “Advanced” button at the bottom of the window
Select the “Owner” tab
Change the “Current owner of this item: ” to your username and
select the checkbox “Replace owner on subcontainers and object”
Step 3: “OK” out of the properties and you should now be able to delete the file!

Damn that is a big shitlist to just delete a file.
Just open up a folder, open taskmanager and kill explorer.exe and delete ze file.
Or just go with Unlocker, brilliant and SAFE program.

If unlocker is not finding the process to kill, it means the EXE is actually running.

I deleted the file with Unlocker but now I can get rid of the error message everytime I turn the PC on which states that Windows can not find that file.

unlocker sucks , it wont work on alot of files , "moveonboot" is better
