I think it's the fact that it isn't an arcade game like the NFS series, And to me at least seems like the grand turismo for the PC pretty much.

Yeah well Gran Turismo is no where near realistic anyway. But TDU has the potential of being a car nuts dream come true if they pull off the hardcore mode correctly with true physics modeling for the cars. But I doubt it.
So far im looking at the game as a car show more then a racing sim type.
