I used to love this game too, very much inspired by sci-fi movies like Blade Runner. Pretty damn hard though Very Happy

Wasn't that the tutorial? Razz

I remember thinking how amazing the graphics were at the time! But it had loads of those really annoying missions where you have to defend something that can hardly take any damage which resulted in me repeating the same level over and over....difficult controls too. Very Happy

It's amazing how your perspective of a game changes over time. I wish I could still be wowed by Syndicate Wars, I loved every minute of that. Sad

since you mentioned it, I found this bit of trivia for 'Hot Fuzz' Wink

Quote:
Game designer/programmer Peter Molyneux was apparently due to make a small cameo appearance within the film, because writer/director Edgar Wright is a huge fan of Molyneux's games, in particular Syndicate.

It's quite possible that the original Syndicate has aged better (much like UFO for example). Syndicate Wars was amazing, but like games such as Outcast and so on their graphical style is more of their time.

I really loved the Outcast graphics as well, but a lot of people didn't;

a lot of people didn't loved OutCast becoz they didn`t had Pentium processors to run it , I remember that the Min. sys. req. for this game where the killer , I waited a hole year to have enough money to buy a new PC and finally play this game ... maybe if they waited a year , then this game would be a sales hit .
You can say the same today , many people don` have a PS2.0 GFX ,
anyway i love to hear they bitch "OMG THIS GAME SUCK ASS BECOZ IT DOESN~T RUN ON MY PS2.0 GFX!!!!"

LOL Laughing

Best water effects by miles at the time. I wish the sequal hadn't been cancelled, I was really looking forward to it.

Anyone remember Hostile Waters? Now that was a great game.

G-Police had great graphics at the time, then you start to play it and your hover copter thing keeps hitting all those invisible barriers within the game. Was bad.
