You'd still need a working key to activate it.

No you would need a cd-key still unless there's a workaround for that, I have an idea that might work but I can't be certain either. Back when closed beta was still up and running people would reinstall TDU and not get a activation screen this was due to a text file being created in a directory, this text file was the cdkey it could be possible since the servers are offline that you could just create this file just after install and enter a bunch of random numbers?. Like i said it's far fetched but if the servers aren't online to auth it could be possible to do so if you`re really willing to download 3+ gigs for a slim chance of it working then give that a go.

mmmm, maybe its possible but where you put this file and wich its the name of that file?

would be something like this All Users\Application Data\Test Drive Unlimited it is a hidden directory btw so you would need to turn on hidden folders the exact name of the file is CDkey and it's a text document. The key itself is a 16 digit span with dashes after every 4 digits.

The folder is User\Program Data\SecuROM\Userdata, the archives in it are modified by Test Drive Unlimited Activate&Play. Its clear like crystal, just send me the archives of this folder and voila!!! the game start. No more Activate&Play shit.

the activate and play securom protection is a real bitch.
dont get your hopes up thinking there will be an easy way around the activation
it's pretty much impossible without a valid serial key to enter.

Yes you are right, but I read in the forums if you uninstall the game and then install again your not prompt for a Activate&Play again. If you have the Securom archives activate, and the same person who gives you the archives give you the cd key to put in the first start up game, maybe works.

CRM try this with your valid cd-key in the game and offline.

Hey ,
Slow down:)
From tdu beta forum :
Good morning from the East Coast -- We will update you on any information that we receive. The build will be available as soon as QA accepts and any (if there are) show stoppers have been fixed.

It will work of course cause both my key and archives are active, so you need a valid key + pre activated archives in order to bypass activation limits and the activation in general.

Yes that is I think. With the right archives and key maybe lot of people can play the game offline. CRM try this with someone, and let me now. Thx

If there are 25,000 keys I read somewhere they politlely tell you to wait to receive your beta key via email shortly but thats really a way of telling you no your not gettting in based completely off your system specs. So thats my advice when you fill out the form don't include your shit rig because they are prioritizing people with up to date hardware.

But, that doesn;t make any sense. 'cause they need the results from lower specs. I mean, if all beta testers have NASA-like specs, what's the point of beta testing?

What I read stated that the individuals who were filling it out with lower end hardware got a dumb email prompting them to wait for a key but when they went and filled it out again this time using high specs they got the key immedietly.

/EDIT: And this occured for a large number of people. Not a couple cases.

Does the PC version carry over the X360's only 8 cars visible on screen at once?

Also it's confirmed that the closed beta client will work but require a available update?

Translation

Code:
Atari Germany (in particular the Community manager) do not know anything about it whether and above all when the beta are published. Inquiries to the Atari center in France remain unanswered.
