I find other galleries far too bloated for my needs, if you have less than 100 pictures you really don't need anything more fancy than a static gallery, otherwise things just get annoying.. Plus, static is easier to design .
I found Lightbox earlier, and it was just the thing i wanted

Yeah, but some content management systems have plugins that do all the dirty work for you and enable lightbox support.. stick images in a folder and it does the rest itself.. The CMS I tend to use is textpattern but Im sure wordpress has very similar features and plugins!
