The expansion reverted the previous 2.0.5 install to 2.0.1 and then updated it with the 2.0.3, 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 expansion patches after starting the game so I guess the base version of any WoW install will be patched to 2.0.1 regardless of other updates.
(Unless the 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 updates caused some issues with the installer seing as the game was out, though not released in stores when those were released)

I tend to agree with alot of what Krazy-kamel says.
Although in some of his posts it did seem he was generalising all wow players, he isn't far off with a decent percentage of wow players being completly sucked into it.

I mean i thought i was fairly addicted to the game when i used to play (4hours+ per day), then when i asked some of the players in my guild i got answers such as 8hours a day. Infact there was one person who was playing for 12hours at one stage!
That many hours can be substituted for a full time job for christ sake!

Personally it doesn't bother me what people do with their lives, its their business.
But ill sure as hell think twice before i play another Mmorpg such as wow (online crack Very Happy).

AMD64 3800+, Leadtek 6800 Ultra, 1GB Kingston HyperX RAM, SB Audigy 2Zs.

I'm kinda having a hard time seeing how people can have fun in the larger, raid-centric guilds as they require you to show up at specific times, x times a week. Now that sounds like a job.

The sports analogy used by Anthirs earlier in this thread is quite fitting. Being part of a raiding guild is being part of a team. You train at specific times, you have games at specific times. Its fun to be a member of a team, especially so if it is successful.

It is nearly impossible to adventure in outland during the evenings. It's annoying. Coming home from work and facing servercrash after servercrash.

This seems to be the only main WoW thread I can find at the moment so.

It appears that the Emupedia group has released a alpha of the "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion, probably not that interesting though as it's probably not playable unless emulated/sandboxed.

I guess it might be good in giving a early impression on how the game will look atleast, albeit the actual release date is still quite far away so I'd guess quite a bit will have changed by then.
