Going to Japan for 2 weeks ...yes ...why? COUSE I HATE TO FLY!
You fly for about 11 h (which I hate!) no sleep believe me, arrive at Nagoya Airport around 9:30 in the morning...whatever totally spaced out, spend a good 1H with finding your way, passport and luggage etc (normal at any airport sort a) Of course someone will pick you up, in my case a colleague, well thats nice...takes a another good hour and a half to drive to wherever your going, so far so good...
Now HELL STARTS! with all the passport checks, driving, traffic jams etc, you will be at the hotel around...lets say 11:30 ( I did not sleep for...21H at this point.
Quick calc, Woke up 8 CET, flight at 14:30 CET, arrive 9:30 Japanese time, thats +9 to CET, thats 01:30 AM!) anyway...I am at the hotel at around 11:30 (03:30AM).
Now its like this in Japan, YOU CANT CHECK IN UNTILL FRACKING 14:00!!!( thats 2:00 PM) So what do you do, well you eat something etc etc. Finally check in at 14:00 ( no sleep now for...23.5H) have a shower, change clothes, watch some weird Japanese game show.
RIIIIINGGGGG!, WHAT! Sir your colleagues are waiting for you in the lobby! HE!?...Ahhhh Mikael San, we would like to show you our city and do some shopping...nice... (17:00CET/05:00PM, no sleep for 26.5H) Dinner at 20:00/08:00, no sleep now for...29.5H...
Finally back in the Hotel at around 22:00/10:00PM...31.5H...SLEEP!....he? WTF CANT!!!!...try....CANT!!! RIIIING!...WHAT!? wake up call sir....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! 8:00 AM well go figure +40-42H. Time to go to work, and its a Alien World out there!
"Lost in Translation" comes pretty close, but not close enough
See you guys in 2 weeks, will try to look in now and then from the other side of the world

Well lets just say I have been there to many times...hell, been flying to much in general. I was also really happy in the beginning to go to all these motor shows and business trips and what have you, but believe me after a while it just gets tedious. But sure once you there and had 2-3 nights good sleep it is an awesome country. My fear is especially the first 2-3 days in limbo
And yea I don't know if you ever heard the expression "Sukebe" pronounced Skebbe, means "Pervert" sort a, and yea in Japan there is a lot of Sukebe...mostly Guys I guess
Had to postpone the trip till Tuesday next week, so I guess you guys have to put up with me at least over the weekend.

Well, yes and no. I have done the Interior for the Colt and the new Lancer (Detroit MS) some interiors for Japanese market only, these are all production work. But I think its about 4 or 5 show cars i have been working on so far. Actually starting up a new one soon for Frankfurt MS. I can't tell you what it will be sorry, but it will look cool I am going to Japan for a production interior, will be on the market around summer 2009 EU and JAP market only. As we "Mitsubishi Research and Development Europe or MRDE" are a "satellite" studio or "Advanced" studio we tend to do ALL sort a, a bit of this and a bit of that. I guess thats why I like it so much, you are not the "Tail Lamp" guy you know. Some companies are like that, and ur stuck with that tail lamp for years.

Yup that is the Production vers of the EVO. I think the Showcar "Concept X" was more kick ass, but hey, its always like that. And I bet my ass that car will be in the next Need for Speed, if there is one ....well there will be one I am sure.

Thank you very much, we are pretty proud of it. We did the Showcar and the basic Production hard modeling ( Exterior/ Interior) in the EU studio, the actual production work was done in Japan based on our Design. But i must say finally they interpreted it very well. Yea the idea was to step away from what I think is a pretty boring Design (Evo IX) to something more emotional and (rally) sporty. To be more true to the image. That was the concept sort a.

Well, arrived and did not sleep during the whole flight, believe me I tried. Luckily I had 2 seats just for me...but still no sleep. 11h flight, minor problems at passport check due to 1st page in my passport is almost falling of. Of to work in Mikawa Anjo (1h from Nagoya) and had some meetings and stuff. Beautiful lunch at a a traditional Japanese Restaurant (mixed stuff with Lamen (sort a noddle soup) Tempura (fried stuff ) JUST LOVE JAPANESE FOOD! Any how slept in at sort a 8PM a clock local, so finally calculated no sleep for about 28h or so...slept for 7 and woke up now at 4AM local...JETLAG! At least I got a very fast 100MB line here at the Hotel, and no will not DL stuff here

Cheers man. The prob is not really the language, but the fact that "my colleagues" NEVER STOP working, they would keep at it till 00:00 if they could...no matter if they got a half dead EU colleague wanting to go to the hotel and sleep Any how found this WIERD movie checking the Swedish news, its Jap related and its WIERD, the shark is weird and the guy next to it is even weirder http://svt.se/svt/road/Classic/shared/mediacenter/player.jsp?d=62152&a=745819
