"VF smacks tekken around the head a thousand times and points finger laughing at bloody heap on floor."
Soul Calibur for the win but nice to see VF making it to 360, just another reason not to buy PS3

This is awesome. The big issue is online y/n, think if any dev is smart enough to find a reasonable solution it's AM2.
Think DOA4 managed to overcome lag because a big part of the decision making is preemtive (gambling to people who like it, guessing to people who hate it:)), but VF is a whole different story.
Scary ceiling on how good you can be at this game, Probably cause an argument but IMHO it's the most complicated gaming skillset out there. If you disagree go look up a yomi faq lol.
EDIT
Done it for you.

Definately agree with you that it's a cool game, but the 0 frame exectution for counter holds means that even if the attacker dominates play and builds up enough frame advantage to get a guarenteed unblockable attack, the defender can guess and reverse the strike without using/demonstrating gaming skill, just luck at guessing right.
Still a great game though, a lot of the shit the FG community level at it is just snobbery.

I would like to see a new fighting game with fully interactive environments with more viceral fighting and realistic damage modelling (broken limbs, punctured lungs, internal damage etc).
I'm getting a bit sick of these endless sequals of almost identical fighters which only differ in their moveset.
Def Jam fight for NY, was a step in the right direction. But of course i'm thinking of something massively expanded from that.

Not really practical to include that many variables into the equation, VF is like realtime chess with reflexes. It's a sport in Japan that supports professional players that dedicate 12 hours a day just to practising, (Chibita, Ohsu Akira etc).
The games appear the same on the surface from version to version, but just changing the number of recovery frames for a specific move can have implications on the overall strategy and power of a character.
Guess Wrestling games would be the closest to your idea?
