Check your controls, you might have it locked on your center/left/right wing.

Becouse the swedish version will be out in a month, if you are swe you SHOULD know this, always the same every year, as for all games that gets a touch of swedish meatballs.

Hey, I got the Vengeance version of NHL 2005, and when i click on the icon, it says to insert the correct disc, while NHL 2005 Disc 2 (burned) is already in the Drive and/or it's mounted.

I'm very confused??

The crack on the cd reports as a potential unknown virus in F-prot real time virus protector. Is this just a false warning? Dont usually get warnings like this...

Just got finished playing it for a while ......

I really like the 2005 edition of this game. The lineups are current, which is great. Trust me, it just isn't the same playing NHL 2004 without Nieuwendyk, Francis, and Leetch on my favourite team. Plus, they have a World Cup tournament, which is excellent. Especially since many a canuck is going to want to make their own repeat!

Next, the graphics are better. Everything looks great. One thing I noticed was how much better the body checking animations are. Even the actual gameplay is improved. Players move more realistically down the ice, and actually utilize the entire width. Your computer teammates actually set themselves up better in front of the net. Rebounds even seem more realistic and varied. This new "open ice" business is cool, although at this point it's still hard to use it effectively. Something to work on anyways.

Great upgrade from 2004. I'm really enjoying the game, and I'm sure I'll do so until 2006 comes out.

So it isnt just me who cant play the whole game? Cant control everyone on the ice. I can move em down the ice if they have momentum but if not they sit there, and I can move them back and forth but they wont skate anywhere. Some will, some wont.

Two major mistakes. First, why is the modifier button locked on p? That is maybe the worst place for it! Second, WHY DO THE MENUS SUCK SO MUCH?!

the menus are console friendly, maybe it is the last of the series developed for PC...
with all those issues me thinks EA gives a shit about the PC version!

Once you get used to the controls you'll realize how much better they are compared to recent years...

I think the menus are better than last year at least with the crappy IE thingys.. But music wise I think 97-99 has been the best. Own made fast guitar music, but now there's only crappy EA Trax (although FNM was a nice addition).

Dude.. I've played NHL series here more than anyone.. NHL 2005 is the worst NHL game by Ea Sports ever.. Alex Dampier hockey even feels good compared to this bad console port.. If you dont know.. Alex Dampier is a about 10 year old "hockey" game

i think this game is really good and i have played hockey games (especially the nhl series) for the past 20years so you can say im a hockey game vet Wink
i must admit though that i play the game on my ps2 but its still the same game as long as you dont use the keyboard on the pc because using a keyboard in this game must really blow. maybe you do that? Laughing

Bleh

I played high level compeition hockey for 15years and been playing NHL since NHL93... I know how that shit works and NHL 2005 is fucking way too fast and too many big hits, even with tweaked AI it's still too fast. Hope somebody will edit the db.viv or something to make the game slower and less huge hits
