NecroViolator, the only SKU stripped of WMP are Business and Home Basic, and you can find the non-N versions that are not stripped. The stripped versions are a choice, not mandatory.

Like, I said, only home basic and business will be stripped. Home Premium and Ultimate won't be. Read this: http://winsupersite.com/reviews/winvista_02.asp.
Now, I know for sure that with XP there was a choice, and I think I've read it's the same with Vista, but I'm not sure on that.
At any rate, why would you buy Vista?

I can't post the link to the crack here, as it's against the rules, but here's a quick rundown on installation:
Install Vista.
After install, run CMD in admin mode (right click -> Run as administrator). Type 'date' and write the same date with the year 2051. Now type 'slmgr.vbs -rearm'. It will take a minute, then present a message box it was successful. type 'date' again and set the date to 2007. Now run the crack and click "Install service".
Restart.
That's it. No big deal.
You can install updates for now, but watch out for those WGA updates that can block it.

Check out Asus website and click on Vista upgrade. Get rerouted to a different site. Select ultimate and retail price shows up as 259 USD. 259 usd * 0.7(actual currency (1usd = 0.70 euro) + 180 euro and a bit..
If i;m not mistaking thath's direct taken from MS site.
Let me now if you got any qst related.

Aslo will vista need to be activated to work..even though a legit key is used?

Originally the plan was to have both versions in the DVD, and you'd choose the one that you want. Now, that's not the case anymore, but I have no idea how it's going to be now. Perhaps both discs in the box, perhaps separate licenses.
