20 years later, bf21232324 will be even more shit buggy as hell and boring, yet ppl will buy it. cos the perfume of the old bf1942 which made the success of Dice will be still there.
start from now and stop supporting Dice into destroying its own franchise.

Reinstalled BF2/2412 on my new rig today. Trying to log in to my account I get "connection Refused" NOW...THIS! is a BIG! fuck up from EA. If u are using 1&1 (german provider) EA/GameSpy have blocked all ip beginning with 77. Now i called 1&1 (yep they are my provider) and they said that the problem is well known. They moved my IP to 84. bla .bla etc....STILL THE SAME CRAP!. Called again and now they said they will look in to it...well well....EA Games, WHY! do U do this to US! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

EA Working On 'Battlefield 2142' BoosterPack?
Quote: | German fansite bf2142-union revealed some information indicating EA might be working on new Battlefield 2142 content for either a patch, addon or boosterpack. In-game ads started popping making mention of new vehicles "coming soon" for both sides, EU and PAC. An ad featuring a huge EU APC clearly states "The Goliath Heavy IFV is finally combat ready," while indications are that PAC might receive a 2-person armored vehicle, TYPE 36 Hachimoto. Earlier, various sources noticed EA testing new maps and a possible new mode, so this might all be a ramp up for some new boosterpack content... |

Except that :
Quote: | That's not true widescreen. It simply cuts of the top and bottom instead of adding extra view to the sides. |
Plus , the hack/shortcut trick it does not work on my rig.The game goes back to desktop a few sec after i try to start it.Too bad because i like BF2 but i can't play it anymore since i changed my monitor (haven't bought 2142 since i knew that it would be the same).
EA need to wake up and realize that widescreen gaming is becoming more and more popular each day.

Yea, concur 100% on this one. Thats just CRAP! and so easy to fix in a patch, probably in just a patch fix or something. Read somewhere that EA says to their defence that "its an advantage for those with wide screens" and therefore will not react to this...Dho!

How much were the previous booster packs? If this is half the price of the game, they can keep their boosters in their pants, but something like 5-10th of the retail price would be kinda ok. And how does it work, only the ones who got the BP can play with each other? (propably not a whole lot and mostly l33t fans, so no more n00bkilling fun ;<)

No one is playing booster packs so don't bother buying them. Once a new BP is out it's kinda popular for a week and then everyone's back too good old original battlefield 2. same will happen with 2142.

I finally bought the game a few days ago and I'm still loving it.. even though I suck! I would probably buy a booster pack (as I did with Spec Force in BF2..) but like people are saying, not many people actually play them..

Special Forces is an expansion while Armored Fury & Euro Forces are boosters.I would propably buy expansion for 2142 like i did in bf2 but def not a booster

i wish they would make decent size expansionpacks , and also sell it in stores . Then it would be accesable to more people and hopefully more would keep playing it .
Right now it feels a bit like a ripoff cause this little content used to be included with patches in previous battlefields , ah well i never really played BF2 and just wait for Forgotten hope to be released , didnt bother buying BF2142 even .
