I thought the trailer sucked but who knows? Maybe they only have the story boards done and not much of anything else. So far, to me it looks like it is for 8yrs old.
I watched the cartoon everyday when I was a kid.

i thought the teaser (ITS A TEASER! you cant expect to see heaps!!) was very well done... gave you just enough visuals to get you interested, didn't reveal anything, and i liked the whole realistic'ish style to it.
but thats about all the good things i have to say about it. i think the film will have nice visual effects, and its a bay film, so a shitload of great action sequences really well done, but the movie will be thick as shit, have a rubbishly painful storyline, and will have lost all the... magic.. for lack of a better word... that made the original g1 series one of the greatest shows ever... i trust bay as a director, (pearl harbor, one of the worst films ever made, but everyones allowed one or 2 major screwups...) but the film wont be much more than eye candy..
ill still download the shit outa the dvdrip when it comes round though! wont buy the dvd or see it in cinemas though... just wont be worth it.

peter cullen is doing prime (original voice from old 80s series) now just keep him a red truck and im hooked. plus theres a 2 disc dvd set finally coming out for the old movie. has decent extras and the WS version that i cant remember seeing since i was liek 7 when the movie came in theaters.

It's Bay, so the movie can't be bad. All his movies are great (both Bad Boys being the worst, I think).

Even though I loved transformers: the movie (1986) and the series when I was still a kid I'll be skipping this because just like everything else dreamworks puts out, it's gonna be junk...
Save yourself the effort and get the original animated version if you haven't seen it.
