Yeah, that's for sure, and they have... That's why you should disable windows update before activating...

As far as i know:

If they do that trough a "secret door" (not trough windows update, for example), they do a crime. They arent allowed to scan your computer without any warning and confirmation by you.

muahahahahahaha | doesn't work properly, since every reboot the timer is getting less by the time you haven't got your PC running * ~10-100 mins. |

so does it work or not ? because on the site they mean:

"The crack will make the time left to activate Vista to become always 43200 minutes (30 days), and will not countdown or reduce."

So I think the countdown simply wonยดt start counting.

ok i have installed vista ultimate using this new crack and it seems to work. The counter always displays 43200 minutes left to activate. But how secure is using windows update now ? I guess it will work, but Microsoft can surely install stuff on my PC that recognizes this registry hack or whould this be difficult for them ? I think it is only a matter of time until they can recognize this hack via windows update.

Damasta, I'd be carefull with WU... Set it to manual and wait for feedback from the community. Obviously, you're not safe in the long run, but for now it's OK.

Reading the feedback about the new crack on keznews.com i'm not sure it works. Some people say that it started to count down minutes after a while... Maybe they don't have followed the instructions properly.

Yay! It looks like a x64 version of the french-guy's crack (no, not his butt!) is underway:

"are there any plans to make this work on an x64 system?"

in which

"The man is working on it.

patience grasshopper"

I'll give this a whirl once a x64 version is made available. I mean after all, it is an "experimental" crack.
