The future of global security hangs in the balance as you battle to defend classic Vegas locations and environments like Fremont Street, the Strip and casinos. Experience Las Vegas like never before – through revolutionary next generation technology as you work against the clock to protect one of the world’s most recognizable cities from utter devastation.
New Leader, New Team – Team Rainbow ushers in a new breed of heroes. With a new team, comes added responsibility. Tactics play a MAJOR role in your team’s success, as each member comes equipped with his own skill set.
Logan Keller – Team leader and recon expert.
Michael Walter – Heavy weapons and demolition expert.
Jung Park – Long range and electronics specialist.
Special Order Location – Experience a new level of squad-based realism as your teammates, Michael and Jung, offer you real-time tactical suggestions like busting through walls or hacking computers, all in a race against time to locate the heart of the terrorist cell.
Observe - Plan - Assault – Use tactical planning to maneuver through multiple-path Vegas environments while utilizing high-tech equipment such as snake cams to strategically “tag” terrorist targets to your teammates, prior to entering a room.

Me and a friend played it yesterday evening with hamachi.
The damn game crashed after 5 min every time.
Turn off FRAPS. that helps. we could play a map without any crash a few times.
I hope there'll be a fix soon.
I hate you.

I was surprised with performance. Everyone is crying how shitty it works on their new shiny 88Gtx's, while i maintain steady 30+ fps at all maxed except shadow(at low), and without patch because of the goddamn protection.

You know I like how they allow you to control your squadmates. Point to an area and click the button they go there. This method reminds of one of the great games named Freedom Fighters. I hope this idea is used more and more.

then you haven't played a lot of games... the ai is quite stupid in this game. @ least the team mates are with OK AI and they dont get themselves killed like they did in GRAW And crapdown.
The AI is quite stupid and you can run and gun them down without problem or flank them without them doing nothing. Sometimes they just stand there.
FarCry, FEAR etc AI is much better than this game has.

Your team AI are actually rather good. One really annoying thing about Swat 4 was that if you gave the order "fall in" they would take the shortest route back to you and usually that meant that the retarded AI would get killed passing through an uncleared room.
In Vegas when you tell your guys to "form up" they seem to take the same route you took.
Vegas is a bubble gum hollywood action game. It is loads of fun but in terms of a tactical shooter it is laughable. It really tickles me seeing brain-washed people insulting GRAW but praising Vegas.

Please tell me how GRAW is that much more tactical then R6:Vegas. Playing them both on the harder difficulties the experience is tactically similar only on a different scale.
Something like Call of Duty is more hollywood action in my opinion.

Me and a mate tried co-op earlier (over hamatchi), crashed every 20 minutes or so . Though I hear this is a game problem, and not to do with the method of playing it .
Can't say i'm all that impressed, feels very arcade like, feels quite clunky, the graphics are so so and runs so so on a medium machine (3700+ 2gb 1800xt). Co-op communication through text is a complete joke, it takes you to a console type thing and you cant look around while typing and you have to press esc to go back to playing. Nothing like typing "ill flash the...." then some dude comes round the corner and shoots you in the face . Also I don't like the 3rd person perspective, it kinda takes away from the immersion changing views constantly, and it also means you can see everything, which makes things easier than they already are.
The game is pretty shitly put together and it shows it's a console port.
On saying all that though, I found the co-op a bit entertaining for the odd time crashes werent happening, but I enjoyed SWAT 4 alot more because playing coop with 4 friends was a blast.

GRAW had more: 1 shot 1 kill thing going on. Like you had to keep your head down because the AI was a f* aimbot haxxored thingy.
The tactical element was quit boor because the team AI was really really stupid and got themselves killed all the time (they dint know what to do when some one was shooting @ them and they just stood there most of the time. The enemy AI was sometimes like wallhacking so if they locked on to you you had a serious problem.
In Vegas this thing seems to be fixed. At least the team movement isn't that frustrating anymore.
But the enemy AI was stupid in GRAW so you just had to sneak and shoot. And be really careful not to be seen my the AI or they would lock on to you and snipe you down.
GRAW tactical... that thing was more like a fps (like other shoot and run fps i mean). You had to run to save your team because they refused to fallow orders sometimes and got stuck. Even in one level I had to run from a f* helicopter that was shooting shit @ me. And I took it down with a f* pistol.... wow thats a tactical shooter allright.
SWAT 4 is more tactical and even with those team mate AI bugs it was really fun and challenging.

I bought Vegas today. Someone has to, right?
With friends it is fun online even if the game is mindless action.
Forgive me while I slum until Armed Assault comes out.
