Oblivion if you change some settings in your .ini files.

Quake 4 also has an option which really helps, dont know any other games yet.

i remember a tech-interview about ut3, where the producers said, that the engine would run much better on dual-processor hardware, or at least that they planned to optimize for it.

There was a patch for FEAR as well that used dual core. Dual cores are more future than preasent. So hold onto it. IT's a great processor, I've got teh same one and does great. Also great knowing you can alt tab out of a game like it's nothign and play another game at teh same time lol. but ya, just give it time.

Future proof specifically references the FUTURE! Compilers need to mature enough to make parallel processing viable and developers must design their projects to take advantage of such processing. In the future, I would expect more developers to take advantage of this feature, just as MMX and SSE are routinely part of current applications.

now that the consoles have all arrived there is no reason for devs to hold back... many games from now on should support multithread processing... it was just a matter of timing... also Intel's core2 duo have forced AMD to slash prices few months ago... its a good time to buy new PC Smile

dual core x2 4400s etc arent future proof, they are already old technology with AM2 and C2D. they will become even older tech next year etc. just a marketing gimmick, no cpu, gpu, chipset etc is future proof.

X6800 Core Duo wasted within a shite DFI 975x/g,
2GB OCZ PC8000 XTC XE, X1900 Crossfire(have my own powerstation), Audigy 2, Z680 5.1
