all of a sudden when I extract things it gives out random CRC errors. sometimes it's .r28, next time I try 28 is fine but 88 sucks. its getting annoying

I did, I was using a beta and foudn there was a new version, well, now it's doing it again, would it be a HD?

Might sound daft but ive heard of a similar prob a friend had.. turned out it was bad ram.. worth a try - take out a stick then try.. then take out another stick..repeat

well instead of doing THAT I got memtest and seems your right. 3.0% coverage and I got 16 errors. So much for OCZ's supposed outstanding memory.

I had the same problem some time ago. Couldnt use ANYTHING I downloaded rendering my computer completely useless. My RAM was ok. The problem was sovled with a format c.

eya, thanks a bunch dood, I finalyl got around to testing each module seperatly and turns out one of my sticks is royally fucked. had 40 something errors before it reached 1% and that was before I had to use the task manager to close the program cause I couldnt click on "ok" then "end test" fast enough. I tried extracting with the good stick and it all worked superfab.
