Shaddup with that nonsense, it's the most idiotic rationale ever. If people like us didnt buy new tech there wouldn't be any. I'm so sick and tired of jealous people spewing this nonsense at me.

pull your head out of your ass moron, i couldnt care if you had the best computer money could buy, its facts. do some research. anyone who knows jackshit about computers knows that buying new hardware right when it comes out is a stupid idea, because it won't be supported or be used to its fullest capabilities, ie THIS GAME. |
Take a page out of your own book. The whole purpose of high end hardware is to be able to play the latest games at top speeds. Ubisoft even has the GALL to put things like "Runs best on Nvidia" on the boxes/merchandising. Let me give you a quick lesson in advertising When you market a card like the 8800, you are marketing to an audience who generally are fairly well off, or will sell their mother for FPS/Performance. You are also targeting an audience who want to play the latest games as soon as they appear. Does it, in any way, strike you as intelligent to release a card with things like "essential Vista" all over the box when it is the ONLY card on the market without Vista drivers?(Spare me the "Vista is not out yet" lecture). Equally, does it make sense to sell a card that is supposedly the fastest one around with all the latest technologies that doesn't play a significant number of the latest titles at all/properly?

Some games seem to deal with shadows very well, others dont. If they cause such a ridiculous performance hit then maybe its time we had some dedicated hardware on these £500.00 boards to deal with shadows! Even in the original Ghost Recon, I remember shadows could cripple the game on some levels.

Other people on the forum here had the same issue, but I haven't seen an actual fix for it.

Hmmm,
Very weird for me. When I launch the game I get disk activity for like 30 seconds or so and then nothing. In the event viewer i see the R6Game_Vegas.exe running and then it just disappears. I get no errors of any type.
I am using YASU 1.4 and DT 4.08HE. All Emulations on or off make no difference.
I have tried 2 versions of YASU, the unl-yasu1.4 version that is packaged with the UNLEASHED version and another 1.4 I grabbed from the net. Both appear to be exactly the same.
Anyone else see this? I do not find any log files in the R6V directory that would point me in the right directions.
My specs:
Dual Core 3.0GHz
4 GB Ram
256MB Nvidia 7800 GT (Using Forceware 93.71 Drivers)
250 GB SATA Drive
NEC DL DVD Drive

Yes, once again I am blinded by your unsurpassed computer "savey". It makes perfect sense to me to expect something I buy (at a ridiculous premium) that is marketed to be the latest and greatest NOT to be the latest and greatest. See if you can sell people Ferrari's without engines STFU already.

Anyone knows the file name.
I don’t think its breaking the rules asking for the file names we used to allow it.
And I am not asking for any info of where to download it. TIA

Considering they were both made by the same company, that doesn't surprise me. But Vegas is only like that in the beginning, wait until you actually get to Vegas.

UE3 will support DX10, but Rb6 won't support it.

What a mess ubi is in...
Because the game is mainly directed at xbox360 which has ATi hardware(Xenos) it will run better on ATi PC systems.
But since they have the "how its meant to be played" deal with nVidia they can't allow it to do AA with HDR on any PC system, until nVidia gets it to work on the 8800.
LOL!
For me this is an easy choice, grab the release and play until a decent realism mod gets released, then maybe buy it at a sale to play MP..
Latest and greatest...
