Not JUST like KOTOR. You actually directly control the combat from the looks of things. KOTOR was also a great game, but it was an adventure more than an RPG.

Kotor 1 and 2 were turnbased in a sense... And im pretty sure they were only RPG
I'll buy Mass Effect and any other bioware game, its quite simple for me. I dont give a shit about next gen gfx, just want a solid story that goes with the gameplay! Sure it is nice with gfx, but it has gone too far imo... even when u look at screenshots nowadays, they take away the interface of the game or like NHL 07, EA simply shows the sequences in the game that are inbetween the actual gameplay, it looks very nice, but not any where near the real gfx...

the game play mechanics looks the same like in Kotor but the only thing that will be new are the Fahrenheit type of talking to people + the combat mode looks exactly the same like in Gears of war ... mix those 3 and you get Mass Effect |
I own GoW I don't think It's anything like it except the third person perspective but almost every 360 title has that. Also in Fahrenheit you need to do special commands to say certain things and there is usually a timer which is not the case here but it does look like KOTOR yes I agree there. |

I've always thought that BioWare makes excellent games. I saw the trailer for the 360 3-4 months ago and it looked very fun. I hope this game comes on PC

He means sacrificing gameplay and originality for example in the pursuit of buzzwords and graphics. It's like 3D animated movies, you get the odd gem or classic like Toy Story for example, but the rest lack the artistry of your hand-drawn fare for example. |

I agree, will probably also buy a 360 after newyear. The game looks really sweet, i love this kind of RPG's, i do hope the combat is good though.

Do you think mailing bioware will get you an answer, as far as i know they reveal it in press releases.

Looks awesome, think I'll have to do like Frant1c and grab a 360 after new year. Bioware games have always been great and seems like Mass Effect is another keeper.
