I always liked to play FPS games on PC instead of playing it with a gamepad.
Games like this feels better with mouse/keyboard. I'd hate to kill the immersion with a gamepad Neutral
But the game looks cool although it doesnt remind me much of a Rainbow Six game anymore, it's more like a war game (as i have seen in vids and pics)

You don't know what the fuck you are talking about. I'm no PC-fanboy, and I do own a 360 with Vegas myself.

Have you not played the demo on live?

It is alot more like a war game, it still has the R6 feel, but it's alot faster paced. It's sort of like a cross between GRAW, SWAT 4 and GOW. Very Happy

Not played the demo yet. busy with work.
I'll try and give it a shot later on.
But it sounds like crap though, i loved the way R6 felt like back in the days, now it's being watered out with too much crap.
I'll give it a shot anyway

Sorry, you're right. There are so many PC fanboi's on this forum that I can't keep track of them all. My bad. Embarassed

It's still a good game, as long as you're not expecting something exactly like the last rainbow 6's you'll still enjoy it. Free your mind! Very Happy

Release Notes:

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six makes its next-generation hardware debut in the
most dramatic installment of the renowned first-person shooter franchise
to date. Rainbow operatives take to the chaotic streets of Las Vegas as
an escalating terrorist siege in “Sin City” threatens to take world
terrorism to new, uncontrollable heights. The future of global security
hangs in the balance as you battle to defend classic Vegas locations and
environments like Fremont Street, the Strip and casinos. Experience Las
Vegas like never before – through revolutionary next generation
technology as you work against the clock to protect one of the world’s
most recognizable cities from utter devastation.

New Leader, New Team - Team Rainbow ushers in a new breed of heroes.
With a new team, comes added responsibility. Tactics play a MAJOR role
in your team's success, as each member comes equipped with his own skill
set.

Logan Keller - Team leader and recon expert.

Michael Walter - Heavy weapons and demolition expert.

Jung Park - Long range and electronics specialist.

Special Order Location - Experience a new level of squad-based realism
as your teammates, Michael and Jung, offer you real-time tactical
suggestions like busting through walls or hacking computers, all in a
race against time to locate the heart of the terrorist cell.

Observe - Plan - Assault - Use tactical planning to maneuver through
multiple-path Vegas environments while utilizing high-tech equipment
such as snake cams to strategically "tag" terrorist targets to your
teammates, prior to entering a room.

Real-Time Immersion - Prepare yourself for a new level of in-game
immersion with real-time mission briefings, all in the midst of the most
intense combat ever played.

Advanced Gameplay Animations - Motion-captured assault and recon
techniques such as fast roping, rappelling, window entry, blind-cover
fire and more. All captured by an experienced Hollywood animation
expert.

Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence - Next-generation technology
brings a higher level of artificial intelligence to Rainbow Six. As you
get past the grunts and advance closer to the center of the terrorist
cell, encounter deadlier, more skilled enemies who work together as a
group to counter every move you make.

Customizable Multiplayer Experience - Create your own multiplayer
character that evolves as you play online, while unlocking new equipment
and achievements as you go.

OK heres a very mini review. IM running on nvidia 7950, dual core, 2 gigs. I set everything to high, well everything i could find. I dont see any AA, model quality configurations. THe options i see i are very basic, maybe there is an option, but so far i havent found it. Only shadows, motion blur and other not so important things i are shown. You start out in some ghetto, kinda looks like mexico from GRAW, everything looks yellow, but in game models look pretty good. The game runs good too, but i can feel that my comp is on the edge. Vissually its better than GRAW but IMO little bit worse than xbox360 version. It'll probably be better when i actually get to vegas itself.
The cover system is awsome, mouse2 will stick you to any wall, from which you could blindshoot, or pop up and shoot. Enemies so far are pretty good, they do too take cover, and try to flank you sometimes. SO far im liking the game.
Well thats all for now, gonna try to beat that ghetto level and get to vegas, VIVA LAS VEGAS.

Yeah you can feel that the comp is at the limit. It feels like if you have one less fps, its gonna turn into a slide show, cant really explain. And where the fuck are stupid options, i wanna change some settings Sad , it looks fugly without aa, my eyes started to hurt. Also the smoke looks really shitty, i dont know if its set it to low right, but im hopping it is.

well you sold to me,dl now. hopefully theres an ini or something that can be tweaked. did you try forcing AA in the forceware contorl panel? well got 8800gtx so should run well, but sounds fun. I liked that game wa it killershock or something where you could jumo into to cover, old game.

In two different OS systems, Vista and XP, both of the times,
I could not manage to run R6Vegas properly.

Simply, it was stuck at the UNREAL TECHNOLOGY LOGO, and only thing that was progressing after then, was just sound effects that might be for menu.

Anyhow, I am tired of trying every possible ways that I could think of,
and watching damn UNREAL TECH ADVERTISEMENT.

Any1 can gimme the solution for this, I will give him/her a big love for a lonnng time.

kthx.
