Does drinking a beer the morning of a hangover really make it go away? I always wanted to try it but after a night of heavy drinking just the sight of a beer makes me want to vomit. |

yup, it does. It tends to make the headache afterwards worse though, if you dont drink enough water afterwards though =)

Yea water is probably the best because the headache is caused by dehydration if I'm not mistaken. It's good to know that the beer thing works but I'll stick to water.

My remedy for a hangover is milk btw, lots of milk one of those 2 lt cans and i empty it the next day.

I think those gatoraid's or sport drinks are the best for a hangover. If I have milk it clumps in my stomach and then I puke it up. That is how I know it goes clumby. milk with a hangover is only good if you know it coming back up. Then you can actually puke instead of dry heaving. Dry heaving sucks, it hurts.

Pistols right, isotonic drinks are the best possible things you could be drinking. Sports drinks are usually designed this way.
The key thing to remember is the headache (and alot of the symptoms) are caused by cellular dehydration, which results from a diuretic agent. Not a general lack of water like normal dehydration. Normal water will help, it'll just take a while to do so.
Also, consuming lipid rich foods will help in the breakdown of the alcohol still in your system. I recommend pizza!
