The boxed version is out since Friday, theres nothing to wait on.

I have no idea why theres no proper release, it has been more than 2 days now. And according to Nforce, the NoGrip release is not even nuked...even though its appareantly not working.

The Nfo has over 11000 hits so theres obviously a demand for this game - wheres a proper release?


dvd box release uses steam and is encrypted. so the only possible release here is a steamrip.

Its not so easy to rip steam....Halflife 2 was the same it took ages for a decent release to come out and even when it did it was not easy to get working. Hope there is a way around this because i tried the demoand i have a logitech G25 wheel and it was crashing when i was shifting into 6th gear so i wana try before i buy. I have bought all simbin racing games and i might buy this if its any good but if you ask me its a little to soon to the release of GTR 2 so you gota wonder how much time was spent on this one.

Please submit the file 'minidump\race_steam_1.1.0.2-20061129-164757-2044.dmp' along with a description of what you think could have caused the crash to a developer near you.

Worked fine before i reboot my computer.

I get the samething.......... Dude

I see it checking internet. damn Steam is searching I think After I see my little TV's Light up for a feww moments I get that same message. I posted in another topic about this game.

I have looked all over for this also.

Might have to wait a day or two for it to be posted.

I still think Steam might be slipping by on this one on some machines. Looks like check network connection. Then the game crashes.

There Has to be a FIX. I am sure everyone else is just installing the game and playing without problems. Now some are having problems we see how many more have this same problems.

my friend have the same problem... he downloaded the full ver and then the demo ver. install the demo version and take this file from there - minidump\race_steam_1.1.0.2-20061129-164757-2044.dmp
than install the full vers (or if you have it already installed ) and put the file in the folder minidump Smile i hope this works for all

Not sure how this would help because it's a dump of the reason it crashed. you can't read the data but I beleave it has the detail why it crashed.

every time it crashes it makes a new file with different numbers. I had like 6 because I tried to start the game 6 different times.

I will dl the demo and post my finding here afterwards.

Lets post our video cards maybe it has something to do with video cards.

If someone has a newer video card and this is happening then this can be ruled out.

I had it happen once when I was conneting to a online game I dont think its anything to do with gfx cards but mine is a 512mb 6800 gs/xt

I have never got the game to load yet, installed twice. I get the error screen before anything...

This why I am saying could be a gfx card problem, sounds like you have loaded the game already

Cant believe this was so easy. Everybody with that minidump error, try to run the config again...the file RaceConfig_Steam.exe. I did it and the game runs just fine again.

its probably the new crack for it ?????
aint a clue thoyugfh as i dont need it playing the game right now Smile

alls i did to get the game to run was use the directx pack that come with the release and its ran every time cany understand why ppl cant get this running Sad
