Today we can expect the US relese, or is it on 24.
Any news about it ? Pyranha Bytes owns us big time here, so i really hope that in US release will hvae some improvements.

the US Gothic 3 is out, I have seen it on one torrent site upped by a regular joe. He made a copy with Alcohol 120%. The torrent site sounds like demon....(clue)

I just got the US release. I will try the other crack(Razor or Reloaded) I get mixed up as who does what with so much activity in the d/l scene. Is that what those annoying yellow circles that appear sometimes...even at night are?

Okay, I can't believe this....I just installed the US version of Gothic 3.
1) I was able to use the 1.08 no-dvd crack from gamecopyworld. Even though there isn't a US 1.08 update.
2) It is very playable with high settings on my med. grade PC
3) When I had the Euro. version I had to apply every patch and do .ini tweaks to get it to run. This is running fine out of the gate.
4) The only conclusion I can draw is that the US version has been tweaked and patched before it was released!?
Anyone having trouble with the Euro. version....try the US version
When I uninstalled the Euro.version after I re-booted I deleted the Gothic 3 folder...then installed the US version. Back to the game. I will report anything worth reporting as I progress.

From what I have read it seems that the US version already has the 1.08 or perhaps even the 1.09 patch applied to it so none of the older patches will be needed.
This can be easily checked by alt-tabbing out of the game and checking the number shown after the Gothic3 exe file.

Whatever made you think that the US version will be the answer to all your complaints?, it'll have Tages aswell, look at Anno 1701 if you don't believe Aspyr uses Tages. |

installed gothic iii (euro version) on vista rtm. then installed patches 1.08 and 1.09. then tried to install virtual cd 8.0.0.6 and it complains that it doesn't support vista. son-of-a-XXXX!
yes, read interview somewhere that aspyr said it's the us version is the exact same as euro except that it comes 1.08 patched. so, you'll still need to download and apply the 1.09 patch.

There is a russian gothic 3 release out!
It uses starforce protection, easily emulateable with daemon tools.
I think it is possible to convert to english, just as I converted german version to english earlier... you just have to get speech_english.pak and make some ini tweaks...

I don't know wtf but I got the U.S. version but when I alt-tab it shows it is v1.07, but the U.S. version is supposed to have v1.09.

This was the game I was waiting for the most, I put this game aside from the start waiting until rzr decide "the game has matured enough" and make another crack. But it's stuck at 1.09 since a while and there is still nothing. Plus, the game I had started with 1.00 a while ago i'm in deep shit cause every orc of a village want to kill me, guess I'll to cheat my reputation, if a good patch ever come out.

its a great game ,if the publisher didnt rush PB to release it. maybe after 6 months of patches, the game will be nice to try again from start.

wierd thing is I still enjoy the game despite everything they said being true. the feeling of immersion that was there in G2 is gone but its still goog imho. I guess it shows so many PC releases being crap that I can forgive the fuckups within this game.

I do, I also still think Ign and Gamespy are biased tarts with no time to actually explore a game and instead want everything served on a silver platter if the game is to have any chance in hell to score over 7  |

if you use the american version you still have to use v1.07 exe, so best way to run this game is still with the german image and virtual cd
