I followed these steps to the T multiple tims. Even tried changing host port but my cousin and I can't get it working.
1 Shutdown your internet ( usually done by disabling your network adapter )
2 Start Arma and host a LAN game.
3 Enable your internet.
4 Start Hamachi ( www.hamachi.cc ) and join /create a network
5 invite your friends to hamachi, and let them join in the Arma Lan game
Always says key in use. I disable my internet and everything. I even have the 3 lines in my windows host file:
127.0.0.1 armedass.ms12.gamespy.com
127.0.0.1 armedass.master.gamespy.com
127.0.0.1 armedass.available.gamespy.com

If you actually took 5 minutes to read their website you'd see that it's a PUBLISHER issue, not a developer. In other words, it's not Bohemias fault.
BTW, where do you find servers for this Hamachi thingy then?

I've tried pretty much every method posted here to get in a LAN game together without getting the CD key dupe message and had no luck at all.
Maybe a number of you got it working because the host had a different CD key to what the clients were using, how many keys are available out there? I had no luck finding another one.
