Well, let's hope there will be a hack/modchip soon... Smile

Sounds like bullshit to me. All they seem to have done is describe how to back up dreamcast games. As for the modchips, well they look too good to be true.

EDIT!

Nintendo Wii modchip called Viper was released in December of 2006

Pulled that off their site. Strange, heres me thinking it was only November. Smile

The picture of the viper chip is the game cubes modchip.

those backups have been around for a week or so , and i dont know anyone who has actually found them for download. And that modchip site is pure bullshit

"Alternatively, the DuoWii and XenoWii are available. They don't have the features of the Viper, but do allow booting of homebrew programs such as SNES and burnt games."

those chips do not exists. So to sum up , this is all FAKE

no hold on there

you can't just say this is all fake, i should of posted the mod chip info in a separate thread as i just found that from Google searching wii mod chips.

The actual raw dumps seem to be legit, so let's get back on topic regarding the isos

We need more info

There are no modchips and the dumps are fake. This has been known for quite a while now. Where you folks been? There is some hacking of the Wii going on here, though...

it seems like Nintendo wii VC games are on torrent sites

This is the saved channel backup of the game F-Zero off the Nintendo
Wii's Virtual Console. It is for testing purposes only. Nintendo has
put hard work into making the Wii and allowing old school downloads to
be available. If you enjoy it, purchase it yourself. Wii did!

Needed:
Nintendo Wii
SD Memory Card
Saved Channel *Included*

Instructions For Use: Access your SD card so that you can place files
on it. Now in your root directory, D:\ for example, place the file
named 'private' onto the drive. Take the card out of your system and
place it in the Wii. Navigate to your Wii memory management settings
and find the section that is labeled 'Channels'. You will find two tabs
inside, one for your Wii and the other for the SD card. Select the SD
tab and you will find the saved channel present. Copy it to your Wii
and you will be done. Enjoy testing out your game for free!

If this can be done, can't a wii game be copied to say a 4GB SD card and played?

Nintendo Wii Images were a big Fake, More Security Info
A hacker mailed in to let us know that those so called 'leaked Wii game images' were indeed fake. Interestingly he believed a Wii DVD can not be dumped at the moment as of course the discs are encrypted but its unkown if a unique key system is being used.

Hacker's info on Wii game discs

- Same Protection spirit as on Gamecube : Barcode / Encryption
- Wii DVD's are encrypted but unkown if it uses a xor key like on gamecube or if it's another system or/and unique per game key
- Wii DVD's can not be dumped currenrtly as it's not possible to run homebrew on the machine and dump them on storage devices or through local networks

Then a forum reply

I also not believe that the image's where real,if they where, you could download them everywhere.

But,"Wii DVD's can not be dumped currently as it's not possible to run home brew on the machine and dump them on storage devices or through local networks""

As i recall xbox360 can't run home brew or whatever, but there are xbox360 game images all over the internet, and they work also. (remember they were all deemed fake but turned out to be real)

When games hit the store's there will be images both of wii and ps3 games, just gave it a little time.

That's because it's all fake. FAKE. Check all the scene sites. If it were real you'd know.
