I think what he is trying to ask is wether you would choose the exclusive games comming out for ps3, or the ones comming out for x0?

At this point we have no idea what 3rd party exclusives the PS3 will keep.
MGS4, Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry may end up on the X360 as well..
PS3:
Resistance: Fall of men
Africa
MotorStorm
XBOX 360:
Gears of War
Viva Pinata
PES
BioShock
Edit: .....And Halo 3
I'd go for Xbox 360

How's the thing with GTA4? There'll be exclusive episodes for Xbox360, but will there also be exclusive material for PS3? I've heard that, but never got it verified.

It's a very easy choice, the ps3 of course. It will have most jrpg's (yes I know that the xbox360 will get a few now, but hardly as many as the ps3) and therefor it's my pick when it comes to exclusive titles. All those action/FPS games can go die or something.
Btw, the chanse of MGS4 poping up on the xbox360 is as big as gears of war poping up on the ps3. =)
Of course xbox360 fans want to think otherwise, but be realistic, it will not happen.
Kojima have hinted SO many times that he plans to support the ps3 the most and that MGS4 is a ps3 game.

Jrpg´s are about as fun as being covered in honey and have Yogi bear sodomize it off.
I´ll have Oblivions and Mass Effects any day of the week, rather than jrpg´s.
To be honest i would get pretty envious if ps3 got a remake of ff7 though. But that is one of the very few games i actually like in that genre and probably based on nostalgic reasons.
I´m happy with what i get in 2007 for x0. I´m more hyped about Alan Wake and Bioshock for example, than i would be if MGS4 would come out for the console. But of course this is just an opinion and we all have our different favourite game series, etc...

no one knows if the PS3 will get more jrpg's this time pallebrum. Square may end up releaseing Final Fantasy, Kingdom hearts and Dragon Quest on multiple consols.
In the end the PS3 may end up as good as the PS2... just don't be too sure man. Sony is hurting bad right now and devs take notice.

no.. it's not "easy math" - It's a good prediction. Though Wii may be the machine to get the most attention in Japan. look at the DS.
You don't know whats going to happen - and nither do I.
about your equation.. couldn't it be like this?
Jap loves nintendo = japan buys the Wii = many japanese people will have the Wii = rpg developers makes their games on the wii to earn as much money as possible.
