hey guys.. i was looking around for mod chips and came across this forum.. very usefull to be honest.. so now instead of mod chip i'm planning on using firmware.. I already searched and found on this forum a lot of 'how to' to install it, and even found a spanish video on youtube of how to install.. so its really not about installation.. my question is i just got Xtreme 4.1 and 4.2, i'd like to know your opinion on these firmwares and if there are better ones out there.. i have a Samsung in my console..
also, if you guys have any tips or suggestions.. like what i should watch for, or what you would recommend me to do while installing.. or taking apart the 360, please feel free to let me know.. it'll be greatly appretiated

Always pick the latest version mate 
BTW check the xbox-scene forum... they suggest what version to use for what DVD player

hey guys.. i finally got around to change the firmware on my samsung drive, and i think it worked fine.. it plays my original games.. i burned need for speed carbon PAL onto a dvd using CloneCD, but when xbox started reading it, it said disk region is wrong, what does that mean?? and how can that be fixed?

Theres nothing you can do about the region coding. But however if you get a game that's from your region, well that would work.

thanks Jenni.. if only i knew about those region stuff before hand.. lol, i spent 5 days downloading that NFS, oh well, you learn from your mistakes, at least now i'll know what to look out for

no.. i have cable which is 512 kb/s, but problem is my average speed in Azureus was around 15 kb/s, thats why it took me so long.. i can always upgrade to 1 MB/s, or even 5MB/s , but i cant afford that...too expensive, lol
