I've seen videos of people using echolocation like he does. Very cool stuff. Thumbs up for him and especially for his parents.

okay, now can anyone explain this? humans are physically incapable of using echolocation, we don't have an appropriate 'device' for that.
and even if we imagine that he's an x-man and has EL, how on earth can you play play a fucking videogame using it? that's BS with big B and S.

Why are humans incapable of echolocation? We got ears don't we? It's basically the same thing bats, dolphins and number of other animals use, just at different wavelengths.
His ability to play video games IMO is less amazing than the echolocation part. I'm sure he can't play any video game, only the ones that he played for way too long.

It's normal for people who think to have doubts about miracles. That's why when you are told a blind kid plays video-games like a pro without looking at the screen and makes pillow headshots it's normal to think it's bullshit.
Echolocation allows you to "see" large or medium-sized objects and that's ALL. You can't see the little ball when playing table football.
That's why i said - "BS!"

This is impossible. As Vodka-Redbull points out, human ear doesn't register fine subhormonics very well. This is the general idea behind mp3 compression for example. Let's consider another thing - when he makes clicking noises - these would deffuse on contant with matter. Generally you want as high pitch as possible so that the waveform carries as much information back to you as possible. If he can tell the diff between a trashcan and a car with a click, then I figure either something magicall is goin' on, or this is somehow a hoax.
And if it's not, then this kid should be studied. By Area-51 guys. Cause' he be an alien yo.

Yes, its obviously a magic kid. lol
Like I said, there are many other people that do the same thing. Theres also a guy that teaches blind kinds to do that. Just because its a first for you, it doesn't make it a fake or a hoax.

Okay, i'll repeat a third time: nobody says human echolocation doesn't exist at all. It does, although it's not quite the same principle as with bats and dolphins. It's just very acute hearing. So he can avoid large obstacles (probably) and wallls, but no video games, no table football, no pillow fights etc. And swimming in a pool with dolphins doesn't give you EL either. So the part about playing games and bein' Daredevil is a total hoax.

I agree with you Vodka-Redbull. It sounded resonable (kind of anyway) until he started to play the video game.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

He doens't use echoing for the videogame though, just "normal" hearing.

Do you people even know what the words "echo" and "echolocation" mean ?
When bats and dolphins locate surrounding objects they send a wave and then they sense the wave after reflection on the object, the time for the wave to come back indicates the distance. Now can someone explain to me how first a human being can send inaudible wave and second how he can feel the reflection on a precise pixel on a fucking screen ?
edit:

although we do have ears, they don't send waves, just receive them

Playing game as blind depends on how easily the game is, people play blindchess for fun. We didnt even see much of his playing so he might as well suck, if hes any good he might have played that game for years for practice.
Sound is wave, send a sound you send a wave. Send wave with click, listen when it hit things, and he wasnt supernaturally good, he took time on finding out if it was a car or trashcan.

As someone has already pointed out the fact that they are inaudible is simply due to the wave length that particular animal communicates on.. They are audible to things other than humans.. As for our ears not producing sound waves? jesus.. animals have mouths?!.. what do you think dolphins and bats use?!
I don't think this is bull, the guy probably can pick out objects poorly using a form of echo location, he will know the different between a person, a trash can and a car using experience and other factors, not just his echo talents.. As for playing games, he already said in the video he does that by the sounds, so people talking about seeing pixels.. ffs.. just go bury your head and don't talk to the rest of humanity. I doubt he can play every game, again its down to experience.. Oh, and he probably uses sound alone to play table football too..
This isnt about being sceptical, its about using some common sense, the guy clearly has some talents but they're not super human, they are simply well practised and are sitting along side a life time of experiences.. not to mention the 2 other senses he uses constantly.

yeah, ok, now please anyone name a game that you can play using sound only. that's really a breakthrough - aiming at enemies using sound! jumping from platform to platform and estimating the in-game distance by using sound! woah, amazing! and thable football - have ypu ever played it? that thing makes so much noise (along with yells of the players) you can't hear anything including the rolling ball.
wake up, neo! there's no miracles in this world

Shooting dosnt require sight, you dont see how well he plays or how well he aims so he might just shoot like crazy for all you know. And about estimating jumpdistances, sure he even jumps? And even if he does you dont know how much help he get from his friends in games, like shoot left, make big long jump when i say now etc.
Played tablefootball alot, most thing i hear is the ball, i hear it roll i hear it bounce and get kicked. You got a bad hearing?
Maybe theres no miracle, but who says this is a miracle?

you can see him playing DBZ budokai which is a standart fighting game, and in most figthing games every single action has a different sound for every game charecter. so its really not that amazing if a blind guy can win a match with only sound... besides, even tho bats have powerful senses we have a superior mental ability which in some cases can confescate for lack of information.
