When I try to start FEAR: Extraction point I get the following message:

Warning! Your system time appears to be incorrect, would you like to verify it against the SecuROM Timeserver?

I can select yes and no, but I don't dare to select yes.
When I do select no, I got the following message:

Invalid system-time detected.
Please check and correct your local system-time setting.

What's wrong?
Edit: did had simular problems but different messages with Splinter cell: double agent; the cracked exe fixed it, but I want to know what the problem is.

I'm using the Fear version releaed by unleashed and the reloaded extraction point version.

Hmm, partially solved the problem.
Seems that i've installed windows with the wrong year.
Year was set to 2007 during install, later changed it, but seems to be the problem.
When I change year, the problem is solved. Where does the programs exe is looking at???

its a hidden failsafe /some use it some don`t/ in securom and safedisk , its checks the bios date and if its 10 years in the future or in the past the game will stop working but only for cracked ones , its the new trigger that was implemented in securom 7 and safedisk 4 , and how to make your original work well just insert your org cd/dvd and the time stamp burned on this cd will fix it .

My company uses this to protect they data ... anyway for those that have problems with old games protected with Safedisk get the MS patch that resets this tick tock from older versions but for now its only for win xp
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=eae20f0f-c41c-44fe-84ce-1df707d7a2e9&DisplayLang=en

maybe some day they will release a securom/safedisk patch for vista

edit: sorry forgot to answer to your question you must restart the date of your win xp install , becoz it still will show 2007

reinstall windows again with normal date

or

reset it in the windows registry ,
