Welding is strictly hands on and all based on physical experience with various metals, machines and tools.
Guitar however, can be learned through a video teaching thing. As long as you have a guitar to follow along with |
Some can't even do that. My friend has no coordination and doesn't practice on her own what I tell her too. Vidoe learning is for motivated people who truely want to learn. In a Guitar sense anyway.
I need to know exactly what I am doing before I do it. I drive some people nuts because I ask questions. Then I get pissed because they can't answer them. |
You play the guitar? |
Yes you know that remember, I am OK. I am showing sunita stuff and have passable voice with a capo.

I thought you said you were learning the guitar. Guess I got confused happens alot you know?
I used to be able to play a few songs, never really learned properly. I'd like to take it up again. Maybe if I did that, along with my singing (metal, screaming voice) I could find a drummer and start a band
I was in a band when i was younger, fun times...even tho we only played a few shows

@syco
No I learned the guitar when I was in grade 4. My school had an excellent music program. Also classical panio - conservatory. It is my friend that is learning but everything I see her do is wrong. but I try not to get involved because this kid is teaching her. I don't know what he is doing with her. So far she has learning 2 chords in about 1.5 months and she can't do them smoothly. Really what it comes down too is that she isn't practicing.
I used to play with my cousin and ex a lot when I was younger. Both of them are play excellent. This house must have like 5 guitars in it. 2 Electricals, folk, classical and a slide guitar. We had amp's, all that shit. My cousin had a really nice base guitar that his stupid wife has. His best friend shacked up with the wife 2 months after he was killed. He now has all of my cousins instruments.

I play only older stuff, buffolo springfield stuff as an example.. Basic stuff, nothing fancy.
I don't write anything. Piano stuff when I was younger but I don't really play that anymore. I have a panio in my house. I have to actually read the music now. When I was younger and played everyday you don't have too, you just do it.

You should write a song and see what you come up with

I actually have a really good music program on the computer called guitar shed. You can slow songs down and learn them, or you can add record different tracks and put them together. I haven't really used it a lot. I forgot what else it does.
I would only do something in guitar.

Science stuff I would make notes before the lecture and make notes on my previous notes. Then I would go home and type out my notes. When I had a test I would condense all memory stuff onto 2 pages.
I get bored of online tutorials, but for the most part I just use the help function if I get stuck. I learn by doing things hands on. |
I agree on that except i like video tutorials...But for pdf e learning ..I get bored with tuts as well and i am in the process of trying to decide how to view them..
For music production/pro audio programs, I always do much better than the help files when i see a good hands on video tutorial on use for each part of the program.
