So i just built my first system with Asus p5w deluxe and e6700 (2.66 ghz core speed). Well i am a newb at overcloking and all, so i read few guides and stuff. I went to bios and looked at bus speed and cpu speed but those functions are grayed out. Does anyone know how can i OC my system.
Thanks in advance (hope its overclockable, had dell built PC before so i couldnt OC it).

one question, why do u need to overclock it anyway,if only out of "sport" then

go here

http://www.3dnews.ru/cpu/intel_core_2_duo/

and here

http://www.overclockers.ru/lab/22660.shtml

i assume u can read/speak russian coz of your avatar Wink

otherwise there is absolutely no point in overclocking your up2date system imho

Nah if you go to overclock.net (i posted a topic there too, waiting for a reply), they get to 4GHz on the stock cooling (maybe they are bsing but i dont know) will have to try it on my own. My ideal OC would be around 3.6 GHz (seems to be the most stable, and would kick the shit out of my old dell pc). Got a nice video card, but didnt play any games yet, still researching about OCing.

I have just bought a p5w dh as well with an e6600. I will try to find the sweet spot as well just for the fun of it. Your e6700 should do 3.6 on air just fine. I only have to wait for my memories to arrive Sad . Good luck with your overclocking. @ ELLIZ core 2's don't need nitro a 4GHz you have to take them way beyond, but in my humble opinion that's just nuts .
