Ea are fucking money grabbing cash cow bastards they released all the new 'content' on marketplace, which is alot of cars, if you add up the gamerpoints in comes to about $50 BUT...those downloads equate to just 108kb, yes you heard right. $50 for 108kb, how are they so small? well I will tell you, there not that small, infact they must already be on the disk that you purchased/downloaded. I think this "extra" content thing is going to become a trend in upcoming games. EA being the worst offenders of course...

ithe extra content isn't really extra's they can eb unlocked ingame as per normal, its only for the lazy sods who want everything to start with cos they cannot play games

You have to update before you can play. I did it and then I played F.E.A.R afterwards so I assume it was just a game update and has no effect on firmware. May the NFOrce be with you always.
