Sounds like Vista's just XP with alittle make up slapped on. Installing on my laptop right now, i rarely game on it so it's all about the gfx. I'll give the trial ago till the release, but i suspect i'll be sticking with XP + Windows Blinds on my Desktop for the forseeable future. In saying that though my 8800GTS is ariving tomorrow so i guess i may have to install Vista if i want DX10.

BTW: Does anyone know if theres a DX10 Beta out there?

Oh right, so its built into Vista. Gotcha. Well just done installing now so i'll get to see what DX10 looks like on a ATI Mobility 200 Razz

now the only thing that worries me now , are the later titles Vista compatible ... like Kingpin , Dune and many many others ,
yeah and know all will say use DOSBOX or Virtual PC , but what about other games that need winxp ...

so looks like the future is shitty , why the hell we need a new operating system when the old is fine , just release those DX10 drivers ... becoz i don`t wanna a Os that is a simple pimp out WIn xp with shit Aero desktop that lowers the performance of every thing ...

DOn`t believe the propaganda that we needed a new OS ... its all Hype shit

anyway this Vista remembers me Windows ME , that became later a pimp out version of win 2000 and Finaly turned into a Windows XP

remeber this guys

ok , 2 quick questions:

1) When i go to hibernate, i only see a black screen and then it shuts down, in win xp is was a bar with the text "hibernating windows..."
I have a bar when i resume though...

2)What about animated desktops? Is it included or not? Cant find it
I must still use that animateddesktop.exe tool to use a screensaver as desktop.
But with that tool there are no desktop icons

Thnx

WinBeta one seem pretty much to proper to me (well it only add 64bit but seem more professional). You may wait for a WGA cracked release, but it won't stay cracked long with the updates coming anyway and you will not have the "real" cd. Grab this version, and grab the cracks every time they appear/windows get re-protected/crack re-appear/loop 100 times.

edit: While reading the previous page I saw that they put a WinBeta.org wallpaper?? WTF, I want to original thing, not a modded Vista goddamnit Razz

Its been like that even with XP, this is nothing new. Turn off auto updates and im sure once it does get properly cracked the crackers will stop it calling home if vista does do that in some way. Nothing is new here was like this with XP with new WGA cracks being released..

MSDN releases of Vista will be out to Subscribers on the 17th. Currently only beta version of Vista are available via MSDN.

So, as far as I'm aware, neither ISO image is of an MSDN source.

I don't know why you have problems guys... I installed and activated it with Microsoft.Windows.Vista.RTM.PROPER.Activation.Crack-ReeBSaW package without any problems.

All apps works fine, Symantec Corporate Antivirus disabled WinDefender shit and updates nice. Counter-Strike 1.6 and Source work also.

mIRC, icq, total commander, winrar, flashfxp... everything. Everything i tried to install works great. See no problems with new Vista, it's nice Smile

Still problem with installation...
I burned iso into DVD. When i'm starting installation from XP, it goes into 48% and I get error (missing files etc.). I restarted after this XP several times, but nothing changes...

How people are installing this? From PC start or from Windows?
I dodn't know what can I do more...

My English is bad... Sorry...

Mr_Sora,

i activated it using link in .nfo of that "crack" release. Yeah, it took me 5min to register and get own CD-key from Microsoft. And now Windows is "activated" and no problems occured.

I have Geforce 6800 Ultra, so i installed driver from their site, it works good. But only one thing i see, that Windows Media Center works buggy, it flashes in full screen mode. I think it's a video driver problem, need to wait for new versions.

My RAM is 1.5gb, it uses about 700mb atm. Pagefile is about 1gb.

I installed the Windows Vista Ultimate Edition using the Winbeta version and the used the crack Microsoft.Windows.Vista.RTM.PROPER.Activation.Crack-ReeBSaW also without any problems, it also activated without any problems, but after activation and a restart I now get in the right bottom corner, right above the clock on the taskbar it says
Windows Vista (TM)
Evaluation Copy Build 6000
did I do something wrong???

Mr_Sora,
now 730mb of RAM used. I have 2 IE's opened, icq, mirc, windows sidebar, daemon-tools, steam, and ms word 2007 opened.

Realdeal,
no, it's just tells you used evaluation key to activate. But your windows is full anyway, don't worry. We all have that report, and don't know how to clear it Sad

Oh, i forgot to add Symantec Antivirus Corporate, it eat's much i think Smile

So is most of that 700mb taken by vista? about how much would you say is being taken up by vista alone?

Mr_Sora, i will check how much RAM will be used after reboot. Only antivirus added to startup, but i think if 1gb is reported minimum for vista, 600-700mb is normal.. ;/
