I already played it when it was released (bought the original on 3.5" disks back then Smile ). Even though I can't remember much of it I don't think I will play it again. I'm not the type of guy who plays a game multiple times.

the talkie version is much better than the old floppy version

You Crack me up little Buddy

Great Episode, I bought it, and I thought it was Great, hehe the joke about the Canceling of Sam and Max Freelance patrol was a fun little thing.

I hope that the next case, is even more wacki'er because that I Miss alot, I remeber when Sam and Max come to the Mystery Vortex

Sam: I wonder what causes these inanimate objects to dance their infernal jitterbug.
Max: I think it's all controlled by really big magnets beneath the Earth's crust.
Sam: You're an ignorant dolt, Max.

And then when you got under the house well, let's just say Max ain't so stupid Cool

Looking very much forward to the next episode Cool

Superb game. Pretty easy, but hilarious commentary on all the clickable stuff and some really great moments. Worth the money imho.

It's january 5th (at least in europe). Episode 2 is almost there.

A German magazine already reviewed it, they say it's as good and as funny as "Culture Shock".

Let's hope for a release soon...

Thanks for the new information about the second episode, seems they sent me a email yesterday about this new episode being available for download as a small (70MB) exe file. (should check the mail more often but it's mostly spam and junk. )

EDIT: Funny game and similar to the previous episode, really like it so far. Smile

Some stuff from the first episode gets reused in this one though but it'a not a big issue.

Do we know this Bosco guy from Sam & Max Hit the Road? Because I didn't remember him when I played Culture Shock but it seemed like he was an old character.

Bosco owns the inconvenient store right outside the appartments where both the games have started, Sam bought a grenade launcher from him in the previous episode after some security problems and he is quite paranoid so this time he decided to disguise himself. (He finally got rid of the annoying security system as well but now has problems with the skinbodies instead wich leads to a small mini-game)

Sorry, guess i'm tired or something. Embarassed

Can't remember that much about the original 2d game but they probably left quite a few references to it in these new episodes.
(Should probably play it again some day, was a good classic adventure game in the 90's)

I also can't remember much of the original game. I know there was a game where you had to punch rats, there was something with a Yeti and of course there was the biggest ball of wool in the world.

he wasn't in the original
but he was probably in the comics or the cartoon series

you should definately replay hit the road
there's so many hidden gags in every screen
much more full of stuff than the new episodic ones
and with age you see things differently and probably get more jokes aswell

Yeah, it's short.

Took about 5 hours to complete it but I messed around alot so a normal gamer should be able to do it under four hours and experienced adventure gamers will probably finish it around 3 - 3.5 hours.

Aside from the areas I show in the above screens there's the mini-game streets and the streets connecting the stores with the office, aside from that there's a small film studio where the main game begins but that's all there is.

These small episodes could work but perhaps it would have been better to release the full game in 2008 or late 2007.

well, i loved the first episode and it was around the same gaming hours. I usually take adventures slow and love to hear dialogue and look at stuff, so 5 hours playing time is good enough for me. Hope it ll cracked soon

It costs $9.

I was skeptical myself at first, so I played the first episode; pretty good.
Quickest $9 decision I ever made. (well maybe except for some cheap hash, but I regretted that one.)

Edit: Wait, there's 6 episodes?! that's a $54 adventure game! (in a back-to-back episode purchase anyway...)

Confused
