actually, its individual one shot story episodes, like a tv series
there might be a subtle continuous backstory(that i didn't pick up on though), but the first episode is clearcut closed circle
no loose ends
you could probably even skip the first episode and just get the second one and not miss a beat as they're disconnected
i thought it was a continuous story at first aswell
but i rather like the way they did it
sure, it's not a Grand Epic story, but it's sam & max.. story is irrelevant anyway.. but the story arc can be well drawn in the time allowed for it for the one whole episode (and it's well drawn out, too)

...but its not critical to having fun in this first episode. It's more a typical ending..kind of like the "Ill get you next time!" thingy in cartoons.

January? WTF?? I thought the plan was to release a new episode every four weeks!?
The game was a lot of fun! I liked that the puzzles were not too difficult and that you got some small hints here and there. Can't wait for the next episode! But what I don't get is that I've seen people say it's only two hours long. Well I played 4-5 hours. Maybe because I tried a lot of funny things and every possible dialog Idk...
