Add this file to your "localvault" folder:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/c8bqv1
(20 characters)
Add this file to your "Campaigns\Neverwinter Nights 2 Campaign" folder
http://www.sendspace.com/file/7t8trl
(New feet - bonus saving throws and new items - you must select the feet for the items) |
ARRRGH! And here I gave up on finding it and went ahead and started.. and now this! Ah well, at least I barely got out of the tutorial and this time I should be able to fly through it. Thanks!

Just so I'm clear than you can't get the unique weapon for each class without taking the Blessed of Waukeen feat?
Do those items appear on a special merchant, or does every merchant suddenly have them?

The biggest performance killer for me is shadows. Especially Environmental ones. I ended up putting setting it on Low which turns off environmental ones and makes charcter shadows kinda small. It definitley doesn't look as good, but it runs smooth as butter now.

SPOILER WARNING
arrived in neverwinter - i wen to the inn and after talking to innkerepr and all
now when i exit is ask me for party
i assume taht all my chars that i didnt take with me stay in inn and i can rejoin it at any tame ( up to 3 )
what if i aquire new NPC and illl will not have room for party (by having PC + 3 NPC') will the new one be sent here or be gone ?
where to get wizard ? |
here's the answer to your question:
Spoiler: | If the party is full the last npc to join will go to the Inn in Neverwinter. For the wizard, I found her in a cutscene with two girls fighting her. I don't know how the dialog choices affect if she joins you or not but since I'm neutral evil and I chose the worst dialog available and she joined, oh well... As long as you don't say "Go away i don't want to see you ever again" it'll be fine, i think. |

Sup, fellas?
I'm a little concerned about the performance because I want to run NWN2 with 4xAA to smoothen it up a bit @ 1024x768, everything on max ('cept shadows, but Low would be good too). Anyone here run the game in a similar way? Would appreciate if you can tell me how it is.
Oh and don't forget to mention the vid card!!! Yo that's imp!

over 30 different weapons + magic variations
also there is some "class" only things ( caps, rings, armors and weapons)

According to the Artbook in my Lawful Good Collectors Edition, Sand is supposed to be the wizard in the PC Party. Try talking to him in his shop.

There is no AA option yet. It's going to be patched in. No HDR either, it's coming later too.

The game can already use HDR.
nwn.ini in the my documents folder.
UseHDRIfAvailable=0
(There's also a bloom setting and a multisample setting - AA?, no idea if hdr cancels bloom or if both are active if set to 1)
EDIT: Better spelling.
EDIT2: Merchant spoiler (Waukeen and Friend)
(Had to check who they were, though it was the D. guy first due to his wares)
Spoiler: |
Quote: |
At the top of the hill in Blacklake District, there is a merchant to your right just as you reach the crest of the road. He is an old friend of Daeghun's and will offer you one set of special items.
In the Docks District, there is a gnome merchant near the water, past the Sunken Flagon and Sand's shop. She is one of the BoW merchants.
In Port Llast, there's a dwarf merchant right near the entrance to the town that is the other BoW merchant.
NOTE: These merchants appear for everyone, but you only get the option to see their "special" equipment if you have the appropriate feat. It will show up as a reply option that says something like "Let me see your special goods."

Don't get me wrong, I love complex games and such, but when it comes to RPGs in general, i'm the kinda guy who likes it simple, you know, Diablo II, Wc3, Gothic series (big but still, simple) and such. This game just seemed uh, very complex with rules and stuff.
Maybe it isn't that advanced and it just gives of the impression of it? If so, i'll try again.
I played the first game a few weeks ago, but decided not to after seeing the news of the second one coming. |
play the first neverwinter nights... its a really really good game (and the exp backs)
And Fallout 1 and 2
dont c anything hardcore in these games... they are not 5+ age rating games like oblivion is/was.
