Turn OSD off in the Tray Tools menu maybe...never owned a ATI and never will but I like hardware generally...anyhoo try it out, and restart the game and in theory it should be gone.
Just to check, sorry. Is this in all games/aps or only in 1 ( you never said if its a general problem)
