Just tried it and it's OK. An improvement over the previous versions but still nowhere near PES when it comes to providing an accurate football simulation.

Come on, don't tell me you weren't impressed Smile

I agree it's not a patch on PES, or rather Winning Eleven 8 (although it has some advantages), but then FIFA isn't aimed at the Football supporting, simulator requiring audience but rather the masses as a whole.

It's an arcade game with a dash of realism, and it's really quite good Smile

I haven't really played the previous FIFAs enough to make a good comparison. It does seem better but it still feels like half the stuff I do is beyond my control. The finishing is a prime example. There is no way to place a shot where you want it - you're forced to just press the button and watch the player hit it wherever he feels like.

You're probably right though - this is meant for those who aren't that interested in football.

I think we are probably just looking for different things in a football game. I don't like the FIFA series or what I've played of FIFA 2005 but it's not because I have some irrational hatred of the series - it's because I don't enjoy playing the game.

Same with me and Fifa 2003, Fifa 2004 & Euro 2004, but Fifa 2005 as soon as I started it up I knew that it was all diffrent then Fifa 2003 & 2004, after 10 minutes of playing, I could easily say that this game is THE football/soccer game, well done E.A about time.

If a player can't catch the other players team he pulls the shirt of him, very nice Very Happy

I also saw that commentary was done by Youri Mulder & xxxxxx, I took NL as language will this say the game comes with multilanguage commentary Surprised
The chants of the crowd are awesome!! We shall not be moved, etc...

I heard EA sent some footballfreaks to different stadions to record the chants I hope they did that with ALL teams Smile

Oh man I'm going to enjoy the full game, EA is going the right way with 2005 Arrow Very Happy

SkylineGTR, get rid of Reyes and put Bergkamp on his place. He can make that move like he did against Newcastle 2 years ago..

Just played another game (8 minute half), the game ended in 3-3 with so much action my heart is still racing, this game is nearly perfect in everyway, graphics, atmosphere and YES GAMEPLAY, I find Fifa 2005 gameplay a hell of a lot better and realistic then PES3 and this comes as honest opinion, I hate(d) EA, but after this demo ... I praise them, and I cannot believe that in less them a month I'll get my hands on the BEST football game ever.
Ohh yea did I mention is easy to do special tricks ?? every player has his own trick and its very easy to do, just use your right stick and viola.
Flame or whatever, I dont care, this game OWNZ!
