so to avoid messing the game up, i have to load game up, unequip everything, then save. then update with new patch...load game and then continue? then i wont get any cheats/exploits?
i hate cheating!

yep thats exactly what I did and didnt cause any exploits.

i just updated, but it cant load up now.. needs a .dll. is there a new crack ?

i have the original so not sure though Ive heard people with the stoned version are still able to use vcd8.

i have this really weird bug.. the weather and day night cycles start to go really fast where it's just a flicker and then when i save i am at some compleatly different date then before.. i.e. i was at day 2 (just started) and then suddenly it started flickering and i was at day 333... then it did it again and i was at 50... currently i am at 143 but it did it a few more time where i didn't check what day it was... this really sucks beucase i hate playing at night and now if i move a little bit it starts flickering and i end up at night or heavy rain 70% of the itme (at least it seems that way)
i just installed the game and the patch of the razor release.. nothing else
also found some other bugs (i.e. sunflare) but i see that they are mentioned in the patch notes.. just this one i didn't see...
does anybody else have this problem? i think it might have started after i alt-tabbed to another app while in the game... anybody know i can get rid of it?

When tryign to mount to first physical drive I get "error inserting/ejecting the Virtual CD reason: communication error"
and when I mount it in first virtual drive and move the vc8api.dll it just says "please insert the gothic 3 cd/dvd in your drive and start again. do not remove the disc"
Even tho the disk is still mounted I even have a windows explorer page of it open and can acess the files on it.
I am using the razor release and only got the clone version after hearing it would allow me to play 1.08 ...ooh well screw it all.

If you get the first error you have to restart your computer.
If you get the second error you have to keep trying, there is about 65% chance of "Insert DVD" message displaying, 25% chance of computer freezing completely, and 10% chance of game starting.

They are working on it.. A big patch is coming in abou 5 weks or so :/
Nothing wrong with fixing some minor things like this if its possible

How do you get to the console? I am pressing the [~] tilde and it does not show up.
What file do I have to alter to get console to show up?

U need to edit one of the ini files, think it is teh g3.ini and ther edit the line "Testingmode=fals" to true.

So, is the time spent getting clone to work again worth the trouble? Is this patch good enough/make enough of a difference to be worthwhile?

Edit: Godmyster you will need the VCD clone to get it running after applying 1.08 at this time.
