Phantasy Star Universe (c) Sega

Quote:
Developed by SEGA Studios, Phantasy Star Universe offers long-time fans the single-player experience they have been clamoring for. The solo adventure features more than 40 hours of gameplay as well as an emotionally engaging story, stunning cut scenes, and a strong cast of characters with very distinctive personalities. The title’s hero is Ethan Waber, a 17-year old cadet who begins his epic journey by first rescuing his sister at the GUARDIANS, a colony under siege by mysterious life forms known as THE SEED.
In Online Mode, players are given the opportunity to create their own characters from a range of races, as they explore all three planets in the Gurhal system. Fans can travel with their friends as a squad of six adventurers, enter urban sprawls teeming with hundreds of other players, and build their avatars into powerful warriors.

Features:

Wrong I believe, Single Player has a "Story Mode" where you play as a pre-made character and follow a story.

Network Mode is the online piece where you join the GUARDIANS (the protectorate force you meet in the Story Mode) and battle through seperate missions.

I don't think there is any offline portion of the online piece.

just like the dreamcast version - as i said, so yes there is a single player mode which means its not just a "online game" which i belive headshot was asking about, although the online part of it is where the meat of the game is

IGN
This enormous game offers two complete RPG experiences - a single-player action-adventure spanning multiple planets, and a robust online multi-player component. In offline mode, this action-RPG offers more than 40 hours of gameplay, an emotionally engaging story, traditional cut scenes, and strong character development. In online mode, players are given the opportunity to travel with a squad of other adventurers, enter urban sprawls teeming with hundreds of players, and build their unique avatars into powerful warriors

Well what I was saying was in PSO you got to make your own character and go do missions, same online and offline.

In PSU SP you assume the role of an existing character.

In PSU network you create your own character and go do other missions.

It's similiar, but different.

Thats odd, I read a post from a 'PAL' poster that said he played online no problem.

Yes it IS playable Online on PAL consoles. But the problem, is that they've removed the Guardians license off EU Marketplace, so you can’t pay for it to get the game online....i think it til Nov 24th most likley, when it gets released in EU. So for me it looks like I'll have finished offline before I even get the |chance| to go online with the game :'(. Sure you CAN create a US Gamertag and play it online… but I don’t like that way.

You were 100% correct about a NEC 4551A and the Hitachi but the Pioneer 111D is a blessing, works every time Smile

At the very start of the game is it normal for some of the npcs to be transparent and when you approach them they vanish!? It seems to be the ones you cant communicate with but what the hell!?
