Hoax

As with all popular franchises, the Star Wars series has got some false hoaxes about it too.

Perhaps the most famous of these hoaxes is the website entitled "Super Shadow". www.supershadow.com The website was created by a man who claims to be extremely close with George Lucas.

This website tells us that there will be an episode 7, 8 and 9.

Although there is much debate over wether the site is true or not, certain things, like disclaimers claiming not to be affiliated with George Lucas in any way, appear for short times and dissapear.

George Lucas has said many times there will be no episode 7, 8 or 9.

I think Lucas is done with making Star Wars movies. Expect of course for the TV series he has been talking about, as Captain Cox mentioned.

Yeah, Mara Jade's hot but not worth a movie... Though I'd still like some story about Luke's life - like Wing Commander IV with Blair's death was sort of satisfying (it's worse than III but at least u have some ending). The idea of Luke training rookies (Jeki Knight games) is pathetic...

all i can say, is lucas is THE perfect example of a on trick pony. he can not do anything except star wars... i could even argue that he CANT do star wars... the greatest films in the series werent even directed by him, and thx was not a great film...

when the money starts drying up a little, and people start forgetting his name, and he senses that people JUST-WONT-TOLERATE-A-EIGHTH-STAR-WARS-RERELEASE, youll see episodes 7, 8 and 9 go into production, i guarantee it.

episodes 1 2 and 3 all sucked complete ass, the only thing decent about his nu trilogy, were the visual effects in rots... the film was otherwise seriously weak. empire and rotj are still the greatest films in the trilogy with akh (Psh, it'll always be 'star wars' to me...) coming in at third place.

as said above, the saga was meant to be a 6 movie deal. The nearest thing to a good continuation you can get is Timothy Zahn's superb three-book epic Dark-Force-Saga. Best Star Wars books ever, and the only ones i would say are essential to read, because of the high quality of story-telling and story-craftmanship.

They could never do a remake of the original star wars. Mark Hamil is Luke Skywalker. I dont think anyone else could pull it off.
Same with Han Solo...only harrison ford can be han solo

I'd like to see a remake of the most recent movies. The guy who plays Anakin is such a bad actor imo. They should have used someone else for sure.

i could imagine animated sequels though. That could work with the setting quite well imho and still look like a genuine star wars thing.

Screw it. It can't possibly be any worse than the "new" trilogy. Great actors really. Well, maybe except Hayden Christensen. That guy is a fucking imbecile. But again Lucas made the huge mistake of directing it himself. Next time I hope Lucas is either dead, or looks past his own ego, and hires a real director like in Empire and Return.

He did a great job with the first Star Wars movie imo. But the last 3 could have been alot better to

well #1... ewoks... kinda hard to know if your being serious or taking the piss... if he did create it... well yeah i dont think anyone else would want credit for those little bastards.

2nd... indiana jones... what exactly do you think he did? he didnt direct any of them, and he cowrote the stories for 2 of them (CO wrote...), and someone else did the screenplay, and finally, the one story he DID write, was for temple of doom which was easily the weakest of the lot... so yeah, i wouldn't give him too much credit for jones to be honest. give him some, to be sure, dont want to say he didnt help make that great trilogy, but id hardly say without him it wouldnt have been as great as it was.

Quote:
In February 2005, SuperShadow claimed that he had spent a few days at Skywalker Ranch working with Lucas editing Episode III, listing a detailed hour by hour journal of all the things they supposedly accomplished. He claimed Lucas would consult him on many aspects of the film's contents. Around March-April 2005, his website began posting supposed interviews with several of the Episode III actors, as well as Lucas himself. On many occasions, when answering questions submitted by fans, "Lucas" would praise SuperShadow for his input regarding production, plot ideas, and even the future episodes of Star Wars. He claimed Supershadow had a huge part in planning the prequels, from script ideas to being an extra in the movies.

Quote:
Supershadow's "Lucas" interview also stated that Lucas would leave the production of any additional Star Wars films to his children and to SuperShadow.

Do you really want to make Episodes 7, 8 and 9?
George Lucas: "Absolutely not. I'm finished making Star Wars films. However, Shadow wants to continue making them. It will take perfect conditions for me to green light the next trilogy. First, Revenge of the Sith will have to be the biggest box-office hit of 2005. Second, the Star Wars TV shows will have to be produced and ready for broadcast. Finally, I will need a five year break before I even come close to considering working on Episode 7. Let's be honest. Episode 7 may never happen. If it happens, you will all have Shadow to thank for it. He is the driving force behind Star Wars. I decided to make Star Wars TV shows based on ideas formulated by Shadow. He is a very brilliant and clever guy. I owe him so much."

Quote:
SuperShadow's "girlfriend"

At one time SuperShadow had posted numerous glamour photos of a woman he claimed was his girlfriend [1]. In January 2006, it was discovered that the images were of a woman named Lauren, and had been taken from the public section of Bullz-Eye.com[2], a subscription-based bikini model website. The images had been noticeably edited to smudge out the copyright owner information and date.

n late 2003, SuperShadow posted photos of blogger Nikita Kashner, claiming her name was "Amber Castlerose" and that she was his new girlfriend [5]. Once Kashner became aware of the situation that December, she posted her thoughts on the subject, making fun of SuperShadow by saying "yes, and I have a pet dinosaur made out of gold in my backyard, that eats spoons."
