we once accidently emptied a full cup of coffee into an open pc we where playing with years ago (the pentium 1 era me thinks). Fast ripping out the power-cord, cleaning out most of the coffee with cloth and then using a hairdryer on the rest did the trick. The funny thing about it was, that for quite some time it started to smell nice like freshly brewed coffee after running for an hour or two Very Happy

Ive ruined 2 computers so far in similar ways..well, tbh my cat was responsible for one of them..I had a couple of bottles of cider on a shelf just above my computer and one of my cats jumped up and made them fall down and break over my computers. Lost 2 keyboards and a computer. And the other time I fell when I had a bown of soup in my hand and the table broke so the computer was smashed to the ground + had loads of soup on it Very Happy

I remember when my father bought me a 486... I jumped from 086 with CGA graphics and 640kb memory to a great computer.

I was all set up for the summer (we were staying 50km from home and no computer shops around us) with games like Syndicate, Doom and Dune 2. Who cares about the beach anyways? Wink First thing I did when I woke up in the morning was to turn on the PC, sit down and have a HUGE glass o milk while installing all the games. I spilled the milk on the keyboard and it went nuts, making lots of beeps. My father had to drive 50km to fetch his keyboard from his office so his spoiled little son could spend an entire summer playing computer... I still remember his face from that day Smile

Yeah that was cool of him. But nowdays I see that 50km isn't that much, but it's the intention that counts right?

Jenni about being a geek... Some people spend hours in front of the television watching soap operas, people like us prefer to spend time in the computer. I honestly prefer to be a geek that a tv addict.

P.S. where is that bunny from? Your avatar? Somehow I feel that i've seen it before, just can't remember where.

Sorry Leishar, I somehow missed your post. Yeah I'm not really a TV fan either. The Bunny is by a guy called Bernard Derriman. I've actually exchanged emails with him. I asked him if it was okay to use an image of the bunny as a spray on counter strike. He replied "what's counter strike"?

Made me laugh.

Anyway his address is: http://www.squetch.com/

Yeah Shrimpy I would have been gutted if I'd killed all my hdd's.
