You must be blind or have your monitor set to 640X480. Scroll all the way to the right and then down. Click where it says "Pre-Order Now from EA Downloader for Bonus Content". I don't know what Valve or Steam has to do with this. All I'm saying is you have to pay $39 to download the game now, but then it doesn't let you install till Oct 31. They have a downloader that checks EA's site till it's Oct 31.

heh you gonna get someoen to go into ea's servers and get the required info to unlock the game? lol good luck with that. no group is gonan waste thier time doing that crap. that crappy EA Downloader shit NEEDS that mess installed and running in the bg to run.

Really, I didn't know it was that hard. This is the first time I've seen this kind of stuff. Still I hope it can be cracked somehow.

It wont be, just as HL2's pre-load wasn't back in the day.. it only got released after it had been decrypted on the day of release. Groups will wait for the DVD release before they crack.

What is two weeks in a whole life? Plus it's only a game. If a game monopolizes your life enough for you to make it hard to wait two weeks, you should question yourself.
Don't take it personal.
EDIT:
Related to downloadable content, they have managed to crack Valve's Steam games and they are now usually cracked and released upon pre-load so keep your hopes up for EA's system for future games.

Yay thanks Malveous for that good news. Though I know not to keep my hopes up too high. I've been waiting for the demo for months and as you might know they didn't release the demo in the beginning of September like they said they were. Then it was the beginning of October. Now finally it's at the same time of release. lol. Fuckers will probably release the demo a month after the full release, there's no reason to wait for the demo anymore. So you see why I am pissed off, they kept teasing people and got got us hyped up and did it like 3 times.

....its a game, get over it lol it comes when it comes. cant realyl see hwo a game not being released can actually "piss you off" unless you paid for it or have some connection with the company.

You must not be a big of a fan as I am. Hey I don't care if they tell you from the beginning the demos not coming out till the full release date, I'll forget about it and do something else but to keep teasing you for months is not cool and a good way to piss off fans.

its just a game so its nothign to get worked up over. tfan or not theres more important things than games. and theres always somethign else to occupy the time. and what mal says its just speculation, and most likely wont happen because ALL of EA's games come in cd/dvd form so theres no reason to bother getting a dl version and cracking that whatsoever. plus the fact youd have to delve into ea's servers to get the required info to have it run, you MUST be connected with EA's downloader to even have the game run. unlike steam theres no offline mode.

DislikesPiracy, EA's been delaying the demo and it pisses you off and you see no reason of getting the demo yet you will get the full game to try it out. Now place that same situation within someone that actually buys games and that person will probably buy the game to try it out. The function of a game demo is slowly changing. Before, demos were used to try the game out before buying it. Now, demos are used to gather more people to buy the game. Once it's out, if it's a big game (big as in greatly publicized) such as Carbon the people will buy it and even more people will buy it after trying the demo.
Companies create enough hype these days that you do not need to let your people try your product. And I must add that I disagree with that but hey, publishers control the world.

I'm not getting the demo just cause it's coming out almost at the same time as the full release (someone from their company said shortly before the release). If I were to buy it I would try the demo out first though. I haven't seen any games that don't have a demo released at least 1-2 weeks before it's release no matter how big. In fact people download more demos than ever cause of dsl and cable so I would think it's very important for game companies.

Right, I don't know why they have two versions out then. Doesn't make any sense to buy the other version.
