Yeah, it makes a change to see a game using the old style of gameplay rather than the modern super-realistic stuff we get spoiled with these days. I downloaded the demo and it looks and sounds fantastic. The only problem is either it's a bit hard, or my game playing skills are not what they used to be when I was playing this shit as a kid! I couldn't even finish the demo level Sad

What’s a good mame emulator that runs in a window? Not full screen like gba emulators Very Happy I used to use that mame one but it was full screen Sad what's a good one with a decent gui and joypad support?

I want to introduce metal slug and elevator action 1 and 2 to my 7 year old Shocked

Contra was a nice one as well.

Other than that Castlevania + Contra re-release for PC a year ago, the only other sidescroller PC release I can think of was Johnny Bazookatone (and that was releaesed in 2002 I believe). I never played it though.

didnt the first R-type adjust to your own difficulty. i.e if you had a super weapon ud have a few enemies if you had a super duper weapon with powerups they used molest u like bitches.

well it worked once i follwed few pages/links Very Happy game is CRAZY! ahahahahahhaha right now day in day out im playing metal slug with my nephew Sad though i can't find mslug 5 Sad And even if i do mame32 doesn't recognize it Crying or Very sad

jazz jackrabbit was awesome!

I Woud love to see some of the old school sidescrollers ported ont othe pc with the same gameplay but with better graphics Very Happy that abuse the dx9 features soo much everyone would ejaculate just at the menu screen!

Snes : Super Metroid
GBA : Metroid Fusion
Metroid Zero Mission : Was pretty nice, but it was way too easy.
