Read that guy's posts....

He's playinig the same version that "network dude" (see yellow board for reference) who was on a bashing trip on the official forums, obviously that guy was a noob and had no idea how to configure the game let alone his hardware.

Well be happy that you don't live in Portugal because everytime you want to buy a damn game from a store on release day, guess what!! You have to wait months until it hits the shelfs! Very few games are actually for sale on release day. Last one I remember was World of Warcraft....

Yes! and they're just gonna remove them all with a patch!, I mean what other game rewards your hundreds of hours of play time by taking all your gold from you when you try to sell a sword?, thats just priceless.

The man in the moon came down and said to me "Take this thy gothic 3, blessed by yonder gods, desired by gamers everywhere, kneel down and be blessed with this most holy game"
Of course then I realized I was going crazy and he disappeared Rolling Eyes

Nice, My postmen was at my door 3 minutes ago. He delivered a package. I opened it and was hoping for Gotic 3 but it wasn't. It was my new Internet cable modem. Then I realised that I didn't order Gotic 3 Laughing Very Happy

After some experimentation and browsing the INI files I found that the issues I had was due to the "Dept Of Field" effect, with that removed the game runs like it should though it stutters a little due to ram and gpu speed.

I also unlocked the console in the process but it's not that usefull at the moment.

Good game though, very good performance and good visuals, gameplay is also good but it's far easier than Gothic2 Gold or even normal Gothic 2. (Mouse based combat, auto lockpicking, steal everything you want and get away with it)

It's kinda like the leap from Morrowind to Oblivion.
(Easier gameplay and increased visuals, though it's not as extreme as that sounds)

EDIT: The console is far more powerfull than I thought, inbuilt editor and irc chat plus access to everything the game does, took a while to understand it though.
