his good friend from day one Razz

what i like about this game that you can end in diffrent ways and get another missions depending on what side you are.

in Gothic 3 i know you can choose to be with the orcs and destroy human kind or be knight or rouge.

Cheers mate!

Right - back to the game I guess. I havent played the first 2 parts, you suggest I should give them a go before the 3rd part or you recon I will be fine playing just the 3rd one? Anyone know if the 3rd one will continue where the other two left?

im replaying gothic 2 now with NOTR addon and postal's 95mb texture patch(looks way better with this). its great fun i forgot how it was when you run into a powerfull monster and try to hit him, then realise you aint got a hope in hell and run, try to get near a town or something. lol so much fun!

if G3 has this sort of feel to it then its already awesome to me. Very Happy

definitely play it to pass the time if you havent before.

Cheers mate, I found it a couple of minutes ago.

Oh btw - anyone know if they have planned ahead to make expansions for Gothic 3?

Edit: Ah - apparently the add-on for Gothic 3 was included with the gold edition. Lucky me Smile

sounds like combat indeed has been simplified compared to G1-G2 Sad

Yes it has been simplified, but lets not jump to conclusions yet, wait and see how it works.
So far the biggest criticizers of this new combat system has been people who didn't understand the intricacies of the Gothic system, they didn't get why they had to sidestep or block enemies attacks or why some weapons worked better on some enemies than others...
So it's reasonably safe to say it's still complex and you will learn new moves and athletics as you rise in level.

o fuck they made another diablo clone Crying or Very sad Sad keyboard fighting system was the best

What the hell... heh it looks worse with these textures! Seriously I think the orignal textures look much better. Most are pretty sharp looking, at least when you play with highest settings and 16x AF on a TFT in native resolution connected via DVI. I can't complain, not at all. For a 3-4 years old game it looks good. Of course there are also a few blurry looking textures but most of them look pretty detailed. I would not install this texture pack.
