Wow, it looks spectacular from the videos. I know I won't be able to run it that well, but medium details will do me if it looks even half that good. Many people in Germany have already gotten their native "German" version of Gothic 3 from the "Gothic shop", even a guy who claims he got the English version, so undoubtedly they have been "distributed" and I will get my copy tomorrow, then there will be buttkicking for goodness!...nah I'll be a necromancer raising armies of darkness all over the place Oh yeah no doubt we'll see this soon Gothic.3.GERMAN-SiLENTGATE

English Version cant be rdy yet. Gothic in foreign lang comes later. RLD cant get it 1st, cos its german version and rld=sg, so its with Silentgate tag ^^ And so on, i hope the scene release pred very late, cos this is a must-buying Game! I bought 1 and 2 + Addon as well. and btw: Koch media made a new funyn thing in its produced CDs. i've ead thisa few weeks. Its a strange thing on the DVD, so that anyone who uplaoded this into www or downloaded one of such a copy, koch media get a notice of that...but i think its panicmaking. The thing they mentioned dont work anyway, how will u do that, lol... Now i get to bed, and when i awake, only 24h left and i had the Game, oh man,...ist like christmas or even better! In my opinion, Gothic is the best game ever. Have played Gothic 1 aprox 20 times and Gothic 2, 15 times....i love it So, we'll see when ur get "ur" engish version. Gothic1 and 2 got in Amiland 1 year later then in Germany. At Gothic 3 Pyranha-Bytes getting the English Version finished a few weeks after the German one, they told... SD

It does look good but after seeing the gameplay video I think the game is overhyped. I never played Gothic but I thoroughly enjoyed Gothic 2. I find it hard to believe this one will be as good. Personally Im looking forward to Dark Messiah more than any other PC game. May the NFOrce be with you always.

Hopefully you'll be pleasently suprised then. I think your attitude is in fact better then many peoples "best game eva!1" just because there is a high possibility they'll be disappointed.

Myself, I can't help but get hyped over it. Just the inclusion of shields is fantastic in my opinion. Arrows always royally pissed me off. Smile

The major difference for me between Oblivion and Gothic 3 in terms of how hyped I am is that I never really liked Morrowind much, but I loved the previous Gothics. So If Gothic 3 is similar to them (which it should be) I don't see how I can't like it. I know, I'm actually playing oblivion now and I'm rather fond of it, it certainly got better with mods, but thats not how you should judge a game; a game should be judged on the quality of the vanilla retail version.
I do hope Gothic 3 will deliver, I also hope that noone will warez it until a week after it gets released, but thats overly optimistic.

I loved Morrowind and I love Oblivion. I never bothered with the PC version but I play the 360 version which has no mods and I still think its awesome. I loved Gothic2 but for this game I have no hype I have to say Gothic2 had some of the best music Ive ever heard in a game and the game is definitely too good for Jowood to have their name on it despite publishing the previous Gothic! Yup, he was in the first game aswell and will be in the third, however that is a cd with only one complete track, it was in the german PC Gamer magazine.

have they realy removed leveling in this game?shit no goof ighting like G2, no climbing either. still im sure itll be good and i for one love Oblivion with or without the mods though with OOO and the texture mods it plays nice. Yes there are no levels, this is a good thing though.
Instead you get better skills and you get experience points in certain skills when you use the basic abilities defined for them.
As there is no level scaling system in the game like in Oblivion, there really is no need for levels, you can still meet some very tough opponents though who will shred you to pieces if you aren't any good; for instance your might be a very good fighter but your armor crap > you die very quickly. I like this system better than some number you have defining your chances at hitting someone or their multiplier when they hit you.
