This allows you to make any Xtreme Hitachi-LG FW 100% 'Firmware Stealth'. Read on...

It is NOT MEDIA-STEALTH yet, garyopa is already working on that side but when he finish that part he can implement this hack on his version.
I first do the stealth hack mannually, but then I realized that it is a pain in the ass to calculate the differences by hand, and when a new xtreme release appears it will need to be calculated again so instead of that I have done a tool that do the necessary calculations and patches to make it stealth.
I have done the tests only on 46 and 47 drives but is the same principle for every others.

What's new/fixed:
* Added support for 59B versions

I would guess he is correct though, hell if the check sums are the same.. what else can they do?

Flash the drive regardless of checksum with the new hitachi firmware 0078FK. Crying or Very sad They could flash the sammys with MS28 Sad And force you to update to play the new games. Crying or Very sad

How would each game know whether the firmware is flashed if the checksums are same, unless they force you to install the same firmware evrey time you play the same game. I might be wrong but I don't think that's a feasible option for Microsoft.

Ooo.. good point. However I fear it is still possible within the XBOXs own OS.. mode b allows the drive to be used within windows.. still, could be something to consider.

we'll just have to wait and see. it's possible that there is nothing they can do. that would explain the hardware changes on the newer drives. why would they spend resources on upgrading the hardware if they can simply reflash the drives?

seems to me people are fearing a certain update, which could disbale the fw flash.
we are coming up to the 1year anniversary now, wonder how long a real modchip will stay out.

woulb be a serious setback for M$ if they left a unfixable hole in their system which allows people to play backups without a to big problem.
