Its not the cracks fault, at least for me. Tried 3 different this, with crack, no crack+asr, no crack just moutned in dt and each time its the same thing, whenever i drive very fast it becomes laggy. So i think we gotta wait for a patch.

The Game seems to work for me, but with the reloaded crack & release, i was getting random lockup's, and had to force my computer to reboot via reset button.
So far, the only method i am able to find that works is:
D-Tools v4.0.6
AlkiSecuROM v1.0 (can be downloaded from GameBurnWorld (CD COPY PROTECTION UTILITIES/TOOLS section).
No other method works, and seems to work only with PROCYON RELEASE.
I'll post an update later to see how the game is running, as i was getting lockup's randomly with RELOADED release and RELOADED Crack.

And? If you have problem with the reloadeds crack, why not download the clone and see if it will reduce your lag

If just using the D-Tools to load the image then the game, well it doesn't work.
I've also tried every other securom loader (including CureROM) and nothing works.
The only method that does WORK was the method i posted above, and so far, it has worked for me every time i load the game, also it has not locked up me, using the clone release/D-Tools/AlkiSecurROM workaround, theres also no sign of low fps either/game unplayable etc

You could also try starting your game from the DT's drive (not the shortcuts or the exe files). Just double click on the icon and the scarface menu will pop up, just press play the game. This is how im doing, and i do not use any loaders, just mounted the image in DT and it works. If i do use the shortcut wihtout the loader, it gives me an emulater error.

they could have made a decent game out of the GTA engine, but the controls utterly sucks ass.

The autorun ? did that too, i went as far as burning the iso.

well, you got to play this game for some time to like it. But the map aint that big and such, still iv got no better game to play atm.

Did you unlock all the islands? Because i did it just now, and it looks pretty big. But the map design is pretty boring, its no fun just driving around. But the missions do get more interesting, just unlocked the plane but havent tried it yet.

I've been playing for about a hour last night:
- had major lag in de beginning. Appears that alle graphic settings are rediculous high on standard. Set everything to standard and it's alot better. Not smooth yet though but alot better. (got a 6600GT 128mb AGP)
Funny thing I noticed is u keep hearing the car music, even when u been walking away from the car for minutes.
It's not a great game gameplay wise but as a fan of the genre (gta series) i'll probably keep playing it for a while.

LOL ! This is a Simpsom's Hit & Run clone? The graphics sure look like it and you gotta love the arrows showing you which way to drive!!! Controls are almost as fucked up as the physics, cars got no inertia and stop as soon as you take your finger off the throttle, drive like crap too and dead guys take ages to fall over so you not sure if you got them properly. Worst of all, Tony Montana can't jump, the tiniest little wall may as well be twelve feet high, sucky sucky sucky.
Only played half hour so far but it's totally craptastic I'd say, voice acting and dialogue is good but that's about it. And wtf is that tiger about in the scene-setting pre-mission? Balls.

Maybe a patch will fix the issues... Right now the main problems are lag (unexplained, graphics aren't that demanding) and controls.

The port must just be ruining this game. I haven't tried the PC version but i have been playing the xbox version during most of my free time. The game is very fun IMO. Although, there are a lot of things to look past. All the missions other then front missions are static, once you have done the 3 they just keep recycling them until you move up the ladder. There are bugs when calling the driver, I have been on a normal road called for my car and had it appear on a nearby overpass. The game reminds me of a 3d version of the text based game drugwar. There are some almost game breaking issues but all in all i really like the game.
7.5/10
Hope PC version gets patched.

And I must agree, the first hour I thought the game sucked, but now I am very addicted. Keep playing it for some hours and you will find out why.
