Indeed, just downloaded the crack and its same (well i didnt lag before so its like it was). Still cant remap WASD and the stupid joystick. Screw it, driving here is not that fun compared to GTA, its all about fighting, sellings drugs, and etc. So i should get used to the WASD driving untill (HOPEFULLY) a patch comes out that fixes this stupid problems. And i tried that joytokey but still, one key is mapped to several function in the game's config. Never had a problem like that.
And i just came from their forum, several people have the exact same problem with their joystick (one key is being assigned to several functions).

your way worked, mounted in DT 4.06 and boom the slow FPS dissapeared, bad crack methinks. Now I can actually try and enjoy the game instead of trying to plough along at 10 fps

when i mount in DT4.0 and then use antisecurerom loader and select the .exe, nothing happens?
what gives?

You should use the newest daemon tool. its like 4.0.6 i belivie. And start you game from G: or whatever your assigned to your DT drive. Then the scarface menu will show up, click on Play Scarface, and it should work. Don't start from shortcuts or it will tell yous hit about emulation error.

Don't believe the children posting in this thread.
If you liked San Andreas you will like this game. Graphics are better and the gameplay is a little more complex (which is a good thing).
They have done a good job at creating the atmosphere from the movie and the lead character is nearly perfect. They have the voice acting and mannerisms down to a "T".
I had the graphic settings cranked up and had no slow downs. Only problem I had was sometimes the game will lock up (seems to be related to sound) and I had to reset computer to fix. Happened twice in about 5 hours. The game probably needs a patch and isn't a driver issue.
Yes the controls are a little strange but nothing too difficult for anyone who isn't spasmatic.

Has anyone tried this with a ps2 pad converter? I've been playing with a ps2 pad, and a ps2 to pc adapter and it works brilliantly (only cost £7). the analogues and all buttons work fine. makes the driving, walking, shooting etc much easier. and you can map the keys in from the control menu.
i've sorted the pad out and copied the GTA structure and it plays brilliantly. there is a bit of lag when driving but I thought that might be because of my not so new gfx card and system.

you can easily change your config after the tutorial (invert mouse etc.) - its a bug that you cant change it in the beginning of the game..
its also very easy to get more money by using a hex editor on the profile file (fe "scarface 1" in the game directory) - simply search for your current balance (fe 102645) and edit it to 999999 -no need for a trainer, still fun to play.

Woah that game is awesome. The first few missions I thought it would be crap, but then... oh man. And it's not just Miami, I am currently fighting pirates and excessivly using my boats on some Islands... oh man I am hooked on that game atm.
Never had any of the problems mentioned with slowdowns or anything, been using the clone with no problems.
However, I do encounter some strange bug. When driving around pedestrians yell in a very high pitched voice like the chipmunks, but as soon as I stop they are talking way slower and normal again. But no other sound is affected by that. Still, that's a minor bug and it's not so bad.

Got some chipmunks over here aswell, the sounds just play way too fast then. What soundcard are u using? Got an Audigy 2 here.

If you`re using ReForce or similiar program return all settings to default.I had the same problem with resolution locked in 640*480 and 800*600...when i disable this everything returns to normal and now i can choose.Btw i tried with old nvidia drivers it`s a little bit better but the same fucking LAG is still present.

Id say pc only because i hate joysticks (for shooting that is, for driving they are perfect), and well pc has a better gfx ( if it can handle it). And hopefully they releases a patch that fixes few issues. Like the chainsaw, as its been already mentioned, its fuckin useless, its goes right through someone and does absolutly no dmg. I just ran to the first person with the MG and tryed to kill him, picked MG up and killed them all. And cheating to get money is lame, that what makes this game fun, earn money to buy exotics, weapons, and other stuff.
to KnightRider2006... When you have lock ups, do you still hear the cars passing by and the music? Because sometimes i too have those lock ups, what i do is press all of the buttons on my joystick and sometimes it works, but sometimes i gotta ctrl+alt+del it.
